There are many people who don’t share this sentiment, but I have an appreciation for when a fanfic is so separated from canon that it could’ve easily been its own original novel, and yet the author was only ever going to put that much energy into it if their favourite characters got to be there

Battat and Friend but Doopliss

Everyone loves their silly "Friend mentally fries the glooby brain of Battat" scenarios yeah? Well I gots a new one for ya! And it has to do with Paper Mario TTYD.

Tldr, in Chapter 4, you fight a spooky ghost guy (Doopliss) that transforms into a shadowy clone of Mario, only to reveal after the fight that Mario is the shadowy clone and Doopliss made off with his name, body, and life, with the second half of the chapter being your quest to reclaim your identity.

...sooooooo what if on Battat's journey for knowledge, he ends up having a confrontation with Friend that ends that exact same way, with Friend stealing his name, body, and life, and leaving Battat as a mute shadow of his former self.

Of course, the angst brain dictates that it wouldn't end well for Battat... but! In a happier, more accurate to the source route, Battat gets to confront Friend again to get his identity back!

He just, physically has to fight off Friend, his own stolen attacks, annnnnd his tricked buddies that are still willing to fight alongside "Battat." Sounds... easy!

Maybe I shy little purple shadowguy (gal actually) with a red hat and flamethrower could help! Sure would even the odds in the real Battat's favor...

Idk... food for thought since that whole mess in TTYD entered my head again and Battat is a parasite.

So uh… My friend recently gave me a mimikyu I shouldn’t have A shiny broken totem mimikyu. In battle, it acts normally, if a normal mimikyu goes out in battle broken. But in The Pokemonami… Mmmmmm not quite normal. He’s a very special mimikyu and I love him.
