Had myself a little treat today as a reward. A reward for what you ask? Well I couldn’t focus at work, and I haven’t been kind to myself all day, but I got up this morning and I did my best so I ordered it because I wanted it and by the time it got to my car it was a reward for not punishing myself on days that I’m already trying my best.

Something I have learned recently that every other 20-something girl I've ever known has also learned and tried to tell me: the key to happiness (especially after losing your sense of self) truly is just loving things with the same passion you had when you were 13. Wether it's the same things you loved then or it's something new, you just have to throw yourself into it with as much joy and curiosity as you did before the world distracted you with responsibilities. A large part of this is also learning to put your energy into the things you enjoy just for the sake of enjoyment; don't let how anyone else will react to it (positive or negative) change how you interact with the things that you love.
