Let’s finish the Marathon

On March 31, 2019 the wildfire had spread that Nipsey Hussle (Ermias Asghedom) had been shot 6 times in front of his store in Crenshaw. Prayers went up immediately after the news came about but unfortunately it was his time to rest. Glued to our phones, fans and peers alike learned that he had passed away. The overwhelming feeling that we lost a great leader in his community and people around the world.

Nipsey Hussle was Grammy nominated in 2018 for his FIRST album Victory Lap. Hussle made it very clear that his investment in himself and his community was priority. Hussle always had knowledge to extend to others. He also provided his community with job opportunities, office spaces to work and gave them a chance to earn money for their startups, and also gave young people a STEM center in the same building.

The legacy that he has left behind is awesome and will not be taken for granted. if you have not heard any of his music or listened to any of his interviews, please take a minute to do that.

First come, First respected... You

I believe that when we give ourselves the proper respect, everything around us must fall into alignment with the standard we have placed for ourselves. The level that we are at is the level that people are going to meet us on. 

It’s not enough to say that we are better but never walk it like you talk it. Our words and actions must be aligned, if not... we just lying to ourselves.

Take a minute to be real with yourself:

Am I respecting myself?

Is this the best life has to offer me?

Am I putting my best foot forward?

Am I letting him/her walk all over me?

Does this habit help me move towards my purpose in life?

Of course, if there are any other questions that pop in your head, ASK THEM. It is time to be real with ourselves and make REAL changes for the betterment of all of us!

Faith

Confidence in the unseen. knowing that what is ahead is much more than what you let go of.

Knowing that what the world is doing does not fit with who you are on the inside.

Going to align with the blessings that already are set for you, regardless of what others think is best with you.

Have faith

Go Forward and trust that what is for you, is for you.

Truth

Truth is knowing every bit of the story, the good, the bad, and the ugly. 

Truth is accepting all parts of the story.

God continues to love me even though I fall short of my godliness, when I accept anything less than God. 

If it is not truth, it is a lie.

Truth is synonymous to love.

Fear is synonymous to hate.

Love is my MISSION and purpose

Truth is my light to lead me to the Divine Love.

Let there be a divine union between my body, mind, and soul. The greates union possible. I will let love shine through me within each action. Big or small, no matter what it may look like, I must chase love.

Practice makes better.

I practice love.

YES MA’AM!!!

Invasion of Privacy is out and doing numbers! Cardi B’s debut album is everything that I expected. This album is solid with club bangers, transparent realness, uplifting hooks, and of course some latin flavour.

Cardi has brought along some friends for the ride as well. With features from SZA, Chance the Rapper, YG, 21 Savage, Kelani, and last but not least the Migos. Every song that has a feature is accompanied perfectly with the artist that Cardi chose. 

Honestly, from the first song to the last song, it is a smooth flow with each song holding their own. As hard as it is to pick, my faves as of right now would have to be ‘She bad’ ft YG, ‘I do” ft SZA, and ‘Money bag’.

There is no actual, tangible reason why we allow people to starve, to be homeless, to suffer and die needlessly. Food is plentiful. Empty homes are plentiful. Medicine is plentiful. It’s hidden away behind constructs and we pretend those constructs mean something. There is an empty home and a homeless family, give them it. There is a sick child and common medicine to treat it, give it to them. There is a starving person and so much food wasted by corporations or hidden behind a dollar sign, feed them.
