The Feeding Crew is my (@lesbiansforglados) AP 2D Drawing and Design portfolio for 2023, but I plan to continue building the story post exam. This is just an archive of everything I’ve made for it thus far. Every piece of information on this account and every correlation to the military is fake - I am not affiliated with them nor do I support their actions.
The story of The Feeding Crew is of an alternate reality where our government during the mid 1950s began to develop a sentient monster, Big Girl, as a last resort for the Cold War (with the magnitude of destruction as fifty nuclear bombs), that later learns that the humans’ purpose for her is for needless war and destruction and turns against them. After spending 50 years in containment, she agrees to not destroy the world if she is fed, so every week, a different group of volunteers from the 1st Experimental Affairs Division of the U.S. Army National Guard, informally known as the Feeding Crew file down to Big Girl to attempt to feed her. Most never make it out, but those who do will surely never work again afterwards.
The story is mostly told through propaganda and advertisements that both the Army and the Bureau of Experimental Affairs (like the Federal Civil Defense Administration) put out, as well as other scenes I imagine in the story. Hope you enjoy!
