Volunteerism-help spread the word

I'm trying to save up money so that I can volunteer abroad, if anyone out there sees this and has any input they could offer I would very much appreciate it. I'm looking at a couple different trips, one I would be helping to rescue and rehabilitate stay dogs in Thailand. The other I would be rescuing and rehabilitating monkeys in South Africa. When I get to know more about each trip I will post more information. Again any tips or input is valued! Thanks again and help spread this!
