Could someone who ships byler explain this to me please? I'm mileven shipper and I'm just trying to understand your way of thinking on this matter, but I think I'm lost 😭 (I'm not trying to be rude, so I'd be grateful if someone could try to explain it calmly, please)

I mainly mean this transitional stage from mileven breakup to canon byler

first of all: many people claim that the relationship between Mike and El clearly deteriorated in s4 (especially El's behavior after Mike's monologue) and that this is the reason for their breakup/the beginning of the consideration of breaking up

BUT everyone claims that their breakup is a rooftop scene that takes place a few years after the events of s4 (you can easily tell by El's hair)

does this mean that even though their relationship deteriorated so drastically in s4, they were still together for a few years? Why?

secondly: many people say that during this scene Mike and Will are already together (and even if not exactly during this scene, everyone still says that they are together during the events in s5) does this mean that Mileven's breakup and the beginning of the relationship between Mike and Willem is a few days or even hours difference? Does anyone really feel comfortable with Mike going from a relationship with one of the byler/hop siblings to another in such a short period of time?

in my opinion, there should be some break between one relationship and another out of pure decency, ESPECIALLY if the next partner of this character is somehow related to the previous one (although El and Will are not biological siblings, but still siblings)

please tell me how you see it, maybe I didn't pay attention to something, thanks❤️❤️

Idk about everyone else but I personally don’t believe in the rooftop scene being a break up scene nor do i believe that the bicycle scene is byler alrdy being together

Im also not all that confident in byler endgame, i just enjoy the ship over mileven and again thats just my opinion and i respect yours

BUT

This is how id go about it: i think they’d have to break up around the end of season 4 and then the rooftop scene would be them making up and choosing to support each other as friends and if they go the byler route they’d develop it further for the rest of the season while going through all the complexities of how the three characters involved feel.

everything doesnt always have to be simple, especially not human emotions.
