3 years ago I almost died……⠀ ⠀ Although my wife tells it best, here she goes…⠀ ⠀ I thought I was bad to be honest. That was until I looked behind me. What I saw was a man who was as panting as I was, but also an awful fifty shades of grey - no red room!⠀ ⠀ As we neared the end of rainbow mountain, it was bloody steep! And I left Tom at the base of the final section. I ran (as best as I could) to the top, a few selfies later I was back on the descent. Poor Tom was keeled over by the side.⠀ ⠀ We walked back to the bus, a good 45 min trek I’d say. When we got back on that vehicle, I genuinely feared Tom was going to need medical help. Desperate to make him feel better, I kept chatting to him about almost anything I could think of to help him to not think about how god awful he must’ve felt. One of the fellow passengers had surely seen Tom looking pretty rough and in Spanish we figured out he was offering him biscuits. “Do I look that ill?” Tom said, “no, just a bit peaky” I replied. That’s love. Fortunately he lives for us to both tell the tale 🫶🏼⠀ ⠀ #Rainbowmountain #altitudesickness (at Rainbow Mountain Peru) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cg9rZ-jpRRZ/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
