So on the outskirts of HappyTreeTown, there’s a city. Said city is like New York or New Jersey…some of it is the Bronx. In the heart of this city, they have this (I guess you can call it a cult) Magick religious group of critters. Some are selected critters due to how some of them have abilities beyond normal animal adaptations. And basically, this group of critters were the ones responsible for “The Aware Ones” as they call them. “Aware Ones” being the ones they made aware of their town’s curse.
Really, the aware ones would definitely be struggling. I mean, wouldn’t YOU if you started dying everyday and remembering it?
I was in a certain mood for a few days, and since my sister’s bf is so kind to let my sister use his iPad, I wanted to actually try drawing normally on digital instead of a sketchbook. It’s so weird how different Procreate is on an iPad rather than a phone. And don’t get me started on using a stylus instead of a finger. The line weights were killing me.

Yellow Guy or Denis (Danny for short). This fella’s never had a happy moment in his life. With his dad and whatever the hell his mother is. Bro just lives with the other two.
Duck guy or Eugene. He’s like about 60 ish, and he has rabies.

He sees Denis as a pet really, but keeps him because of Red Guy. He really likes him, maybe it’s because he’s his favorite color. Kinda cute if you ask me.

Red guy or Raymond (Ray for short).
He felt pity towards Denis and decided to, I guess adopt him in a sense. He does get tired of their home, and he really wishes he could move out. But he doesn’t want to leave his new found family.
And this is Frankie-
She’s the next door neighbor of the crew. There’s nothing much to her yet, but she’s just an average happy go lucky lady. And why not, her and Danny are friends..maybe a special one? 🤔

The death curse is caused by that idol, and for like a good long while it stopped. But after that pink squirrel joined the town, the curse started up again, this time dragging in others who aren’t a part of it.
The more I think about it, their curse reminds me of both Higurashi When They Cry and Diary of a Time Looper
