I think one of the things that is, for lack of a better word, frustrating about the cast size right now and the amount of time it can take to return to a favorite storyline or pairing simply because there's so many connections to highlight is also causing doing amazing things to the storylines that are getting pushed beneath the main story line. Like it was kind of disorienting, everyone trying to connect, infodump, do their thing when the Soldiers and Schemers reconvened, but then you notice that, as example, Kattigan wasn't saying anything. Not anything about the chaos around him. It's both accurate to his character, to being out of his element in the city, but also there's something just simmering there, something to wait for.
