Official introduction post! 🐸

My name is Beck (he/they/she pronouns). I'm a 23 year old artist who does all sorts of things, but mostly crochet, knitting, drawing, and painting. The Froggies' Den is my business based out of Western Ave Studios in Lowell, Massachusetts, but I hope to open an online shop when I have a large enough audience.

I have so many things that inspire me, so my style is kind of all over the place, but my main ones are nostalgia, bright colors, vintage/retro aesthetics, fantasy, and mythology. I'm Celtic (mainly Irish) pagan, and that influences a lot of my art. I'm also autistic, adhd, and have other mental health issues plus childhood trauma, so a lot of this is used to cope. I hope to post a lot of original things here going forward, as well as kind of using this as an inspiration page.

Also, this isn't my main blog, so you won't see me interact directly. I'm still debating if I should reveal my main one lol.

I made an 80s summer dress up game on scratch! it's my first game ever! it's messy and there's only a few options, but I still really like it. I think I'm gonna make a few other themed dress up games.

Metal grommets on a washable cotton dress are, perhaps, not the best idea--punching the holes and setting them in was such a satisfying process, though. We'll find out how durable they are.

I thrifted the blue floral fabric a decade ago. I initially thought it was smartweed, but I'm not sure. The lightly textured blue gingham was a gift, and the pink floral is something I got from the craft thrift store at the end of last year. Like I said, I have the most fun acquiring things randomly and then figuring out what to do with them.
