#the hate towards them is ridiculous #these are such nice and easy to train beasts

This beast gets more delightful every day. He is so good with our chickens, never even looks at them beyond making sure he doesn’t step on one. He lets me work during the day with minimal upset about the full workday. He walks through the neighborhood and all over the property like a gentleman. We are working on barking at other dogs, but that’s been progressing as well!

One of my fave thing about young dogs is seeing the glimmers of their adult personality and the beginnings of them being just a really good charming polite citizen.

And then they immediately get tangled up in their lead trying to leap in the air to say hi to someone and flop on the ground like a lassoed calf
