A clip of a slo-mo Apex server reminded me of my second Season 6 game (right after it was released) where everything was so ridiculously slowed-down that it gave me time to react and aim properly and lemme just say that was possibly the most cinematic game of my life.

I had this whole ass spur last year about how they should of given Octane one of those inflatable dinosaur costumes as a skin, then I actually dove further down that rabbit hole, and this came about.

MacCready giving Sole ammo every now and then sounds normal until you imagine MacCready just like,,, taking a mini nuke out of his coat pocket and handing it to Sole while remaining deadpan,,, and Sole’s like ‘wow thanks buddy’ like this is a normal exchange that normal people have

It's like when one of my anthro teachers went to live with a group of indigenous people in Central America. Everyone she met handed her a beautiful, hand-carved button, which she of course graciously accepted because 99% of anthro is "if your host hands you a thing, you accept the thing". She couldn't find anything in their traditions that explained it though so eventually she had to ask & they basically shrugged & told her white people always need buttons like it was just this fact that everyone on the planet already knew. 🤷‍♀️

Six months after that very puzzling interaction, she learned that they'd once been visited by a group of missionaries some twenty years before. Those missionaries had bought cheaply made coats from a more touristy area of the country before heading their way and guess what! The coats were forever dropping buttons. The missionaries, being unprepared dingles, had kept hassling them for new buttons to "borrow" because it was cold up in those mountains.

So when they got the word that a little white girl was coming to live with them for a year, the village decided to just preemptively carve a fuckton of buttons since they were sure she'd need them. 😆

Mac in this case is the villager. He's looking at Sole like "Wow this pre-war idiot doesn't even keep ammo on them at all times. If I don't help them, they're totally gonna die." 🥺

And Sole is the slightly befuddled anthro professor who accepts this strange gift because what the heck else are you supposed to do? 🤷‍♀️
