Being a Grian main is such a wild experience because until he posts his episode we only have the other hermits as a frame of reference for what he’s been up to. So, until proven otherwise, it very well may be possible that he has just been fishing for every hour of the day for a week.

I am a bit too emotional (my hands are shaky) from the fact that even though Mumbo has been on Hermitcraft from Season 2, he chose to show items from S6 to S9, and most of his memories are connected to Grian.

Sahara coin? Grian.

Mumbo for Mayor? Grian.

Redstone incident report? Grian.

Boatem horse... The richest hermit — Grian too, probably. Who else could've been behind it?

The Grumbot command output with "I MISS MY DADS I MISS MY DADS I MISS MY DADS" in binary code. I CAN'T HOLD IT. The last time Mumbo saw Grumbot in S7 wasn't even his initiative. And everything that Grumbot said in S9, about the world having no purpose without Mumbo — was all because of Grian.

The mark Grian has left on him. And Mumbo's love and gratitude. He could've put anything, anything that is more about him. Mumbo was all alone during S2-5. He did so many great things all by himself. He did not enjoy collaborations, he did not want to participate in group activities, but it has changed only because there was someone persuasive and passionate, someone who loved Mumbo from the begining.

He chose these memories. These words.

ALSO I want to add that this photo of cc!Grian was taken by Vicky while Mumbo was filming that one documentary about Grian and his cats. This photo is still the main photo in Grian's socials even though while they were filming the documentary Mumbo and him weren't even close friends yet (pre-hermitcraft, first half of 2018).

So this photo was taken THIS EARLY into their friendship.

Grian still has it as his main profile pic. And Mumbo probably loves it so much because it was taken during his WIP and with him behind the scene. They're both in that room, somewhere. Forever in history. And it's their favorite picture of Grian. Just so you know

Now, I’m not saying romantic relationships are inferior, or that they’re useless, or that you being in one or that you shipping some characters romantically is Bad or something off the walls like that. What I’m saying is that two people (or characters, since we’re talking shipping here) can be just as devoted to each other, love each other just as deeply, mean just as much to each other while being in a platonic relationship. The end point of caring about someone doesn’t have to be romance.

Friendship isn’t a stepping stone between strangers and romantic partners, it’s a different path. And you can follow that path as deep into the wood as a romantic one if you want, and neither is inferior to the other, they just have different views.
