The first 4 episodes were very intriguing. If y'all know me, I will eat up a sci-fi/fantasy show, and a "suddenly the world is different" trope. If you throw in women finding their power and evening the playing field while refusing to be held down any longer AND non-cliché black characters that aren't just for comedic relief or to check a box I am in it till the end.

Let's see what the rest of these episodes look like.

Also Amazon you gotta do better with promo. The limited ads I saw looked boring as hell and didn't hear much chatter on the other social medias. It's like they wanted it to fail. Smh.

Y’all I have Things To Say about that Nynaeve scene in ep 4. Because I realised something today:

She doesn’t just heal with that burst of power.

She actually UNDOES the initial harm.

She doesn’t just sew up a tear. She makes it so that the tear never happened.

Go back and look at that scene after she’s done. There is no blood anywhere. The giant pool beside Lan is gone. And there’s none on his face/skin where it should have spattered/stained.

There is also no scarring to any of the wounds - like we see with Moiraine’s trolloc stab. That was healed by a powerful, well-practiced sister, and it still leaves a mark. As most grievous wounds do. But on Lan there’s nothing at all. Not a mark. It’s like it never happened.

BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE!

We also see THE TEAR IN LIANDRIN’S CLOTHING CLOSE. There’s a shot that heals her wound in the initial burst, along with Moiraine. But in the shot right before she gets up to Gentle Logain, it looks like it’s the same thing happening? but it’s actually closing the tear in her shirt.

Nynaeve doesn’t just rage-heal what Logain did. Nynaeve rage-resets that entire fucking turn of the wheel to make it so that no-one was ever hurt at all.

What an absolute fucking legend.
