I'm a bit in my feelings after seeing an interview from 2012 where H says his favourite thing about Louis is his attitude toward life? Like I knew, but I *know*, that Harry has such deep respect and admiration for who Louis is as a person. I always think this is what H adores about him: how resilient, thoughtful, wicked smart, fun, affectionate and caring he is, and that he knows what to take seriously and what not to. On the other hand it's harder to see H as ppl close to him must see him? 1/2

2/2 Bc, yes he absolutely seems like a sweetie with a big heart who’s really fun and caring, but so much of his public presence is this aura of stardom and it’s hard to really *see* him, so I always wonder what it is that someone as discerning as Louis saw and sees in him that for 10 years he would be like - this person is worth all this effort and pain yk?

I think Louis gets a lot out of being around someone who is so authentic, enthusiastic, creative, un-self conscious, and friendly. Harry’s super goofy and fun and spontaneous, honestly it’s no wonder they get on so well. But he’s also smart and disciplined and ambitious. I’m sure Louis’ boss side loves how competitive and intense Harry is. I think they’re very very similar while still being their own people and that has just built a really wonderfully complex partnership that helps them both grow.

I think it’s also worth noting that early on, one of the biggest things they admired about each other was shared values. They’re one of the most important things to a successful long term relationship. And these sweet tiny babies instantly latched on to how innately homey it feels to be around someone who not only wants the same things you want, but wants to be the kind of person you want to be.

Do you ever get hit with a fact that Harry and Louis are together? Like we always talk about how they’re in love and married, but does it every hit you that they actually have a life together? They have morning routines and evening routines. They cook breakfast for each other and go grocery shopping together or one texts the other a list of what they need. They bicker about random stuff and make each other small presents knowing it will make them both happy. They cuddle on the couch while watching some tv shows or stay up late at night in their bed and talk about random stuff, work related or something they’re currently obsessed with or laugh at some random stuff. They get drunk on wine while sitting on their kitchen counter and passing the snacks between them. They write songs together, one gets hit with inspiration and the other is there to throw some ideas in. They kiss each other hello and goodbye. They take care of each other.
