Matt Donovan. I used to think that football, popularity, and partying was what life was all about. That is until the Salvatores entered the picture. Now, i'm one of the only remaining full-fledged humans in my group of friends. I'm doing my part in protecting the citizens of Mystic Falls as best as I can. I know the real dangers that lay outside of the towns imagination, and human or not i'll stop at nothing to protect those around me. ”I’m glad I could be of service,” he chuckled after she’d complimented him, always quite smitten whenever she spoke highly of him.  “Sheriff, surprisingly,” even Matt still had a hard time believing it himself, “night’s like tonight though i’m just plain ol’ Matt,” as he picked up his drink and took a swig of it.  “I’ve missed you too,” he admitted with a smile and nod.

“I mean, yeah, okay, if we’re getting technical,” it’s not like him and Damon had ever been the best of friends, but somehow that didn’t stop Matt from coming around, “but last I checked we’re still friends,” he motioned between the both of them, “and considering I haven’t seen you in a while I just wanted to make sure everything was okay?  I’ve missed you is all, nothing wrong with that is there?”

Whoa, whoa, whoa, it's my first ooc post in FOREVER! Winter is here, I am bored out of my mind, but at the same time I am too busy to join an actual RP where there's activity checks and other nonsense that I have to follow.

Basically, what i'm trying to say, is I need somewhere where I can be relaxed enough to write and get into some trouble without activity requirements! I basically have night time online for a few hours (maybe less), but I should be online for at least a little while each night for some writing.

I will be bringing Matt back to life, but I am going to be changing some things up as well and bringing in a Mattea, the female version of our dear human, and also a son of Matthew (named Ty for somewhat obvious reasons as a nod towards his best friend growing up).

I can play him on any timeline though I have not watched either The Legacies series or even The Originals, but I mean the guys personality can't change at least so i'm sure I can figure it out (or you can even guide me i'm entirely okay).

I'm an adult, I love writing smut and everything else, so come at me with any/all plots and let's make it happen! Hell, i've been even wanting to try him out as a vampire himself, so that might be something fun to experiment with.

Pretty much these next few months i'm going to be home at night bored out of my mind, so let's make some magic happen!

"What exactly did I just walk in on?" Matt knew better than to walk into the home without even knocking, but the door had been cracked open and he'd heard noise coming from the living room. Curiosity got the best of him and he took those first few steps into the house and came across the other person, "I uh, the door, it was open? You can never be too cautious around here," good coverup Matt, way to sound like an idiot.

“You going to just keep staring or actually tell me what you’re doing here?”  Matt asked as his gaze fell behind him at the person standing in the doorway.  He turned to face them entirely as he looked them over, “can I help you?”

I have had an INSANE amount of Matt muse out of NOWHERE, so i’m going to be reviving this account and throwing him into a few posts here and there.  I want to write, don’t have enough time to devote to an actual roleplay, so let’s do some one shots and make some connections happen!

"What brings you around here?"  Matt called from across the bar, no longer in his sherrifs uniform after his long shift.  “Miss me that much?”  Obviously a TEASING remark as he gave him his signature grin.

Freya gave him a cheeky smile as he talked. He was not a bad company at all. “You don’t stick up too much though. I am kinda regular here so I know people.” She shrugged taking a sip from her beer. “I see, so you are around for a little while?” What a shame she thought. He looked like a nice guy. A familiar nice guy. “Oh no I am just waiting for mt dinner to be ready. By the way, I’m Freya, don’t get confused when the server calls me Mike though.” She chuckled to herself. “It’s Freya Mikaelson but he loves calling me Mike for some reason.” She took one more sip.

The second she introduced himself he sat straighter on the stool, looking her over just once before nodding, "Freya Mikaelson," he repeated her name of course IMMEDIATELY knowing who that'd been considering her doubted that was a common name at all.  "As in Rebekah's sister?"  For a newcomer who'd just wandered into a bar it might have sounded weird for him to name drop like that, but he couldn't help himself.  He had known her quite well, "it sure is one hell of a small world."  He laughed as he took a drink, "your sister and I used to...we were friends," because he wasn't sure where it could go from that, the whirlwind trip they had taken and it'd felt like a relationship, but the goodbye was just too hard for him.  "Matt Donovan," not that his name might even mean anything to her but it was worth throwing into the ring if she'd gone and introduced herself.  “It’s nice to meet you,” having almost forgotten his manners.

She wasn’t sure how he would react to her admitting that she wasn’t exactly a party girl. Her first and only other party had been much smaller than this and it was a glee club party. The brunette didn’t really count the one slumber party she had either. “I’m twenty one, actually. My birthday was a month ago,” she quickly admitted. Her only reason for moving out here was for the nearby college. It was hard to be away from her mom since the woman was her biggest support system, but she managed. “I had jock boyfriend once, but I was definitely not a cheerleader,” she laughed. “I was in show choir, also called glee club.” Marley wasn’t ashamed to openly admit her past with glee club since she wanted to be a singer anyways. “Well, I’ve already met one somebody, so that’s a good start, right?”

Ah, legal drinking age, at least that was a good thing but still sad knowing only one party had been in her history.  He couldn't help but frown though soon pulled it back into a grin, "well then we're just going to have to make up for lost time and show you what a Mystic Falls party is all about!"  Being the sheriff now things were different, but for nights like this he could turn a blind eye to underage drinking (hell he'd done it himself on more occasions than one), just so long as he knew nobody was driving afterwards.  He couldn't let THAT slide, but a few drinks from a minor weren't going to be the end of his career.  Most of the people here were of age anyway being that they were friends of his he'd grown up with, which also helped, and to him adult parties were MUCH wilder than the crap the High Schoolers threw.  "So you sang?"  That's what glee club was right, he thought, having not even known if their high school had one.  "It's a great start," he grinned, "especially what that someone just so happens to be me."  He held his arm out for her to link hers if she wanted to as he stepped through the doors, the party raging infront of them as he was immediately greeting with a beer for himself and one offered to her, Matt taking his and wondering if she'd do the same.

Of course she noticed people looking at them. Matt was the kind of person that you found yourself looking at when he was around and Luna was odd so people tended to glance at her for one reason or another. Plus having his hand rest on her side the way it was would make anyone at least glance at them. She laughed at his words before leaning closer to him. “Oh so it’s alright to leave as long as it’s with the golden boy of Mystic Falls.” In her mind it would bring more attention to the two of them but she would never say no to something with him. He didn’t mind that she was a little odd and he knew the things that she could do and didn’t see much of an issue with it. Her hand came to rest against his chest as she nodded. “I’m more than willing to be your accomplice Donovan.” Luna gave his chest a pat before taking a step back. “There are way better places we could be.”

"Golden boy of Mystic Falls, hm, they should put that on a plaque so I can hang it up in the office.  I do have that shiny badge at least," of course speaking of the sheriff badge that he wore proudly when he was in uniform, today not being one of those times since he'd been dressed down in a pair of jeans and shirt.  He wasn't OFFICIALLY on duty all of the time, that would just be silly, but it didn't mean he didn't do the job even on his off hours.  He was always looking around, on high alert, it didn't take a jacket of a badge to be watchful.  "That could be dangerous," he warned her, "we both know how much I like to get in trouble."  He couldn't help but snicker as he took a step away, before too many eyes lay rested on the two of them, and shoved his hands in his jean pockets putting on the innocent act he did so well (as an adult anyone - as a teen nobody would have bought it).  "So you say you think someone broke into your shop, or in the least tried to overnight?  Took the camera out that was on the side of the building and everything?  I wouldn't mind having a quick look around for you," he smiled as he started to walk towards where his truck was parked, "unless you'd prefer to walk and enjoy the day?"  When they were out of earshot, Matt having made a pretty decent lie up on the spot he liked to think, "and what better places could that be?"
