hey, I saw you have the book of Industrial & Noise Flyers - do you like it? I just realized the shipping to my city doesn't cost a ton, so I'm thinking about getting it
It's a nice book. It has a ton of really nice flyers. There's a written section by Ogre as well. I'm glad I bought it. Another great recommendation is Shock Factory by Nicolas Ballet

Saw this one again and I felt like sharing it on the local level. Time to scribble a bunch and propagate this delightful sigil.

"I wish we met sooner" is such a gentle sentiment. I love you so much I not only want you in my future, but in my past too. I want to have known you when we were small stupid kids, have held hands together as we played outside. I want to have stressed out over exams together, nudging a mug of still steaming hot chocolate against your elbow to get you to focus. I want to have told you I love you before I did anyone else. I want to have held you in my arms when all those sad memories you describe to me were still fresh wounds. I want my past to have been full of you, and full of meaningful memories with you. I want my past lives to have been spent with you, whether as two lovers, or two housecats cuddling by the fireplace on a snowy day, or two flowers that just happened to bloom on the same day, next to each other. I want to have consumed your existence and intertwined it with my own since my birth, never to be separated from you for a moment. I want to have loved you throughout it all, for all time.
D... Damn... M-me and w-w-who??
I smiled at this post but the reply pointing out that they're trying and failing to emulate Madoka Kaname pushed me over the edge into hysterics

Apparently a lot of people get dialogue punctuation wrong despite having an otherwise solid grasp of grammar, possibly because they’re used to writing essays rather than prose. I don’t wanna be the asshole who complains about writing errors and then doesn’t offer to help, so here are the basics summarized as simply as I could manage on my phone (“dialogue tag” just refers to phrases like “he said,” “she whispered,” “they asked”):
“For most dialogue, use a comma after the sentence and don’t capitalize the next word after the quotation mark,” she said.
“But what if you’re using a question mark rather than a period?” they asked.
“When using a dialogue tag, you never capitalize the word after the quotation mark unless it’s a proper noun!” she snapped.
“When breaking up a single sentence with a dialogue tag,” she said, “use commas.”
“This is a single sentence,” she said. “Now, this is a second stand-alone sentence, so there’s no comma after ‘she said.’”
“There’s no dialogue tag after this sentence, so end it with a period rather than a comma.” She frowned, suddenly concerned that the entire post was as unasked for as it was sanctimonious.
And!
“If you’re breaking dialogue up with an action tag”—she waves her hands back and forth—”the dashes go outside the quotation marks.”

Thank you
Oh my god thank you. No wonder grammarly keeps complaining about my punctuation when I boot my writing up into word counter

The beautiful thing as you get older is that you realize so many “rules” are made up and you can just do whatever. Posters can go anywhere in the house not just my room. I can sit down while cooking a meal or taking a shower. I can make the same thing for breakfast lunch dinner for a week straight. I can roam around the house shirtless. I can wear a dress with jeans. The world is my oyster key word my and I can live as I please embracing little things such as this
the trick about getting invested and confident in ur own concepts is to surround urself with other likeminded artists who are down to earth. i know nowadays especially people think "indie" and they think undertale or glitch pilots and they have paved the way for great things but i mean like. engage with your friends comics theyve been posting to an audience of 20-30 people. The people who are genuinely at your level with you. Who are working on their projects on the side because they still have a full time job to attend to. who go on long hiatuses because theyre in college and are crunching for tests at the moment.
maybe one day youll have all the resources you want to create your stories exactly how you imagine it at the speed you want it to be done, but until you get there you'll find so many people working with the same resources and available time that you have, and its about that network of small artists being able to support each other that can light a spark that you thought you needed an audience of hundreds to light.
Hi, any cool poems or books you could reccomend? Or any other piece of art thats stuck with you recently?
Oh boy, I've been reading a LOT. I highly recommend Love In A Fucked Up World, How Fascism Works, The Annals of The Western Shore, and Braiding Sweetgrass. They've been some of the most impactful books I've read in the past few years.
