i think it’s funny how y'all are silent about the new revelations concerning amber heard (she was arrested for domestic violence against her ex girlfriend tasya van ree and there’s even an audio from her court hearing). Of course this doesn’t prove that she was not abused by johnny depp or that she is lying but please next time you’re planning on making an #istandwithamber hashtag or wish johnny depp would just kill himself because “he’s a disgusting abuser” just make sure you know that the woman you’re so passionately defending is also an abuser herself (and not just an alleged one)

Tumblr is making me super sad rn but I can’t sleep and I’m sleeping over with a friend who is indeed asleep and idk what else to do. Seriously though I’m seeing a whole lot of tumblr bullshit around Johnny and Amber. None of us actually know a whole lot about this but of course everyone already has completely taken a side and started attacking the other. Either Johnny depp is a terrible person with no redeeming qualities or Amber heard is. When it’s about one of your favorite (or maybe former favorite idek yet) people you sure do notice a lot more how terrible tumblr is.

YUP. I’ve seen Johnny be called a piece of shit and deserving to die, and I’ve seen Amber be called a bisexual slut and gold digger. Name calling is petty and disgusting. I’m personally somewhere in the middle. I love Johnny but that doesn’t mean I’m going to defend any abuse and it doesn’t mean I think Amber is a lier or a gold digger. It’s sad that on tumblr, people have to be grouped into either crazed SJW’s or ignorant sexists. There has to be a middle ground, it can’t just be one or the other “side.”

Yeah it’s making me afraid to tell people I’m waiting until I actually know. I understand that especially if you don’t know a ton about Johnny it can look like he totally did it but honestly I don’t know. I feel like even if it did turn out he didn’t though tumblr would still act like he did. They’ve already completely shamed him and I don’t think a lot of people would take that back.

Whoever they “stand with” they’re too stubborn to realize it’s not their life, not their problem, and not their place to judge. I can say I hate tumblr, but I don’t. But I feel the most sorry for his daughter throughout all this, she just had her 17th birthday a few days ago in the midst of all this crap.

Aw yeah I feel sorry for both of them. After looking into it more I don’t think he did it but there are definitely people on both sides being way too extreme. I was thinking about leaving tumblr but of course I didn’t. People here can be very irritating sometimes but here I still am.

I feel so uncomfortable about #GiveCaptainAmericaABoyfriend as not only dose it focus only on Bucky as an option, but because it was started by someone who identify as straight and it continues the belief that you are only really Bi/Pan if you are with someone of the same gender. Bi/Pan characters are Bi/Pan representation regardless of who they date.

I had no idea that the hashtag was begun by a straight person.  That makes me super uncomfortable as a bisexual. Because honestly there’s a history of straights fetishizing gays. And ofc they don’t care that bi/pan characters are bi/pan whoever they’re with. I’m single right now and I’m still bisexual!

Not to mention they ignore and downplay Sam which is racist as fuck!

I didn't know that either. Don't get why people ignore Sam, that man's hilarious and genuine and one of my favorite characters. Although when it comes to fandom I'm not surprised. It was probably started by a someone who wanted their two favorites to be together, and would fight anyone who argued any point against them.
