What a session!
My favourit indigenous instrument has got to be,what in isizulu is known as "makhweyana"The Brazilians play their version where it is called" Berimbau"Imagine our delight to record a session with Sazi Dlamini, arguably the finest exponent of the uMakhweyana and Maestro Cobra Mansa from Bahia Brazil.
African rhythms combined with Brazilian so seamlessly that goose flesh and open mouths were the only responses from myself,Lu and Neil.
To Sazi and Cobra;-The Headroom offers heartfelt thanks-
The Headroom will never be the same again!
Keep an eye on our website as we will be loading some sound bytes from the session once mixing is complete and permissions have been sought.

Thanks!
The Headroom is the culmination of a dream that was born about 30 years ago. Obviously it has evolved during that time but the headroom is amazing. This dream was about having the caliber gear that would ensure quality results but then also a space that would enhance human and therefore musical interaction.
In the last year a tribe of sorts has been forged. These people have come to the studio and have brought love by the truckload as well as energy so positive as to ignite creativity. This was received by the team. Marius Botha, Neil Snyman, Lu Dlamini and honorary Andy Small. We thank you all.
The people that feed this are: Madala Bafo Kunene, Renier Botha, Gary English, Mduduzi Magwaza, Sthembiso Ntuli, Eric Duma, Bernard Mdaweni, Sthembiso (Sthe) Hlela Paki Peloeole, Guy Buttery, Nibs Van Der Spuy, Zamo Mbutho, Nqobile Mbanjwa, Sipho Nxumalo, Shlangu Zulu, Nina Mkhize, Steve Newman, Nux Schwartz, Christoff Bothma, Louis Nel, Tristan Wentzel, Daniel Philogene, Joseph Tshabalala & Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Yvonne Chaka Chaka, Pinkie Mtshali, Doug Smallberger, Shomon Daniel, Faca Kulu, Lindelani Mathonsi, Jessica Bailey, Sazi Dlamini, Njeza Dlamini, Sphelele Dlamini, Carol Wasunna, Jabu Sibumbe, Vishen Kemraj, Josie Dones, Pitsopitso Pitso, Bheki Mkhwane, Ian Osrin, Ian Grossert, Alan Amey, Alex Bozas, Jenny Wishart, Dawie Malan, Boy Ngema, Ian Ewok Robinson, Brian Tshabalala, Les Riddle, Koos Botha, Genevieve Hadlow, Mbongeni Ndlovu, Nir Hermelin, Rafs Mayet, Rhoda Isaacs, Richard Haslop, Vic Shultz, Strinni Chetty, Flip Gever, Tom Smallberger, Paul Martin, Kenny Young, Sihle Dlamini, Khulu Dlamini, Khaya & Bona Sibisi, Sis'Miss Sibisi, Zwelisha Giampietri, Thulani Shezi, Mthandeni Mvelase, Mpume Mazibuko, Slindile Sibisi, Maphilini Blose, Maring Dlamini, Eugene Skeef and Mathew Hahn
