Hello, welcome to my blog where I’ll post my headcannons and aus about hetalia. If you have a headcannon or want me to flesh out an au for you, send it in the ask box. I’ll try my best to tag things accordingly, but if there are tags, posts, or offensive things you want me to change/take down just send me a message and I’ll try my best.
You know, an interesting tumblr transformation that's happened gradually, and which I've seen no one talk about: ask-culture has essentially dropped off to nothing.
By which I mean, asks used to be WAY more of the tumblr economy. They used to be more common to send, and receive, and see. They were integral to the collaborative, forum-like behavior of old tumblr communities, not even to speak on the HUGE number of ask-blogs that used to exist to only be interacted with in ask-form.
I'm not saying this in a vying-for-attention way but instead in an observational way: I used to get way way more asks in like 2015, even with a fraction of my follower count. I wonder if it's due to the homogenization of social media sites? There's a lot more of this divide between "content creator" and "consumer" instead of just a bunch of peer blogs who would talk to each other. "Asks" aren't really a thing on twitter, are they? And as I understand it, the closest thing to an "ask" on instagram or tiktok would be a creator screenshotting some comment and responding to it in a new reel or video or whatever those content mediums are. Are asks just too tumblr-specific? Is that aspect of the site culture dying out as more and more people converge to using all their social media sites in the same way?
it's probably from assholes making asks a minefield of trolling/harassment for years with no real blocking ability, which turned people off from allowing asks on their blogs so as a whole the site moved away from it
but now that we do have better blocking, we should try to revive it.

tip: i am so fucking mad. so i just found out that all this time when i’ve been tagging posts as “nsfw” so people can filter them it hasn’t actually been working. i know that since the ban tumblr has not allowed you to search for “nsfw” or any terms considered nsfw but i didn’t think you would not be able to filter those terms. that’s ridiculous and completely counter-productive and i’m so mad that none of my attempts to be considerate actually made any difference at all. maybe i should have realized this sooner but at the same time it’s sssssssSSSSSSSSSO not my fault that this site sucks shit.

I once read a fanfiction with asexual Prussia so now I can only see him as either a/Demi sexual. Now this isn’t to say he doesn’t do it. I just think of him doing it more for his partners pleasure over his own. I see him as demiromatic, like I honestly feel with his extremely no girls allowed(and being gay being not legal) it would just be hard for him to find/be okay with being in love. I see him as using he/him(she/her for nyo). And I feel he is probably open to a poly relationship(if he loves all the members of course)/already in one(I like pruhunaus ok)

I see Russia as gay. Now you may be like, but doesn’t his country hate homosexuality. Well one, the personification is different from the government. And two, unlike most male nations he hasn’t expressed any attraction to females(like Prussia looking at the playboy in that one episode or how some of the nations put hot women in their movies). I don’t see Japan as just a closet perv, I see him as a person who one takes a lot to arouse and two there is a very big difference between the content he reads(cough hentai cough) and what he does in the bedroom. I see him as being open romantically to most if not all people, also being open to a poly relationship. But I don’t see him doing it or at least not without a lot of foreplay. I see him going by he/him(she/her for nyo) pronouns.
Story idea
A nation gets gender swapped and has to deal with the little things.(also note, when I mean gender swap I mean switching the biological sex, so like for a trans nation it’s literally free ultimate sex change surgery) Because all sexes have they’re advantages and disadvantages. Also the idea of a biological male getting a period or a biological female getting a morning wood intrigues me. If I ever wrote it, it would probably mostly be a comedy because I’m a mostly fluffy person who like happy endings.
body headcannon(g8 edition)
France-hour glass body with some muscle but not any really visible. Has a little bit of chub on his stomach(I mean do u know how many French pastries there are, no way he doesn’t eat like at least one a day)
Germany-buff, like a bodybuilder but not like overly muscular. Probably doesn’t have any fat or very little. Also has the best pecs.
Italy-slender with surprisingly strong legs, though his arms are noodles(hah, get it). Definitely has some chub from the pasta.
Japan-skinny(his country’s BMI is crazy) with light muscle everywhere. Also probably small enough to fit in a locker.
Russia-he’s like a bear, has both a lot of muscle and fat. And during the winter he especially gets a belly.
America-has muscle but they’re not visible. Has chub everywhere and chubby cheeks. Could still lift a house without a problem though.
Canada- during the warmer months probably fairly skinny, but during the colder months he develops some chub. Also deceptively strong, he’s got some hidden muscle.
England-malnourished stick, not enough that it looks deadly, but he’s extremely thin and should definitely eat more.

Romano is a closet bi. Like his attraction for women is really obvious but he’ll deny his attraction for men till the day he dies. Yes, even if he’s having a one night stand with a guy he’ll be like this is a one time thing(it’s not). Also fun note, every person I ship with Romano is either a himbo or bimbo. He goes by he/him(she/her for nyo).

Italy is definitely at least bi both romantically and sexually maybe pan? Goes by he/him(she/her for nyo). Probably open to a poly relationship maybe has tried having a few. Definitely open to most things.
Au idea
All the romance nations are siren mermaids(so like not the sirens that are birds, but like the ones everyone thinks of, u know like a mermaid that sings) and Captain Kirkland and his crew might have just been ensnared, but would you look at that some of the sirens think they’re too hot to be eaten. So can Captain Kirkland’s crew escape or is his crew all at sea.

I see all Germany’s(Germaines plural Germany, idk just know I mean both regular and nyo, maybe 2p’s) as going by he/him or at least present as more masculine. Definitely see them as at the very least not straight, don’t know the exact percentage so like they’re questioning but they definitely are not straight, or at least not fully. I can also see them being open to poly ships, though depending on story they might not have actually had any experience with it.
