I'm Micah, I'm in my 30s, queer, trans, and I live in Kentucky.

I'm disabled, neurodivergent, and Mad.

I'm big on mutual aid and building community and I'm an anarchist.

I'm also Christian (Side A) with a love for and special interest in liberation theologies (especially queer theology, disability theology, and child liberation theology.) I'm sex/kink/nonmonogamy/sex work positive. I'm finishing up a Bachelor degree right now so I can go to seminary and eventually have my everyday work be helping people who are already Christian find ways to put their faith into action for liberation and justice.

My tumblr is over 90% just queued up posts that I hit shuffle on every once in awhile and I almost never think to tag any of them. 🫣 So yeah, there's a huge mixture of posts that range from very religious to maybe I share someone's sexy posts.

No DNIs, I can't imagine that they work and I just block folks that give me vibes that are off. I also am not going to say minors DNI because I feel like kids deserve to be able to interact with adults in safe ways so that they can understand when people are not behaving safely with them. That being said I don't censor what I post or share on here so it's not always a PG-13 space.

audism is the fact that in the US cops are only legally obligated to provide an interpreter after a Deaf person is detained. this results in many Deaf people being murdered by the state for not understanding instructions at things as simple as traffic stops.

many cops make no effort to use alternative communication with Deaf people even after we have identified ourselves as Deaf.

audism is also the fact that our signing is considered threatening and something that warrants murder. audism is the fact that our signing is labeled as gang signs and is used to justify murdering us. (and, for the record, actual gang signs also don't justify murder)

audism is the way Deaf people are accused of lying to "get out of things" when we identify ourselves as Deaf.... which is then used to deny us accommodations like interpreters or written communication.

audism is the fact that multiple Deaf people (mostly unhoused) have been murdered in my city alone in the last 5 years under the premises of "refusing to follow instructions" and "threatening hand gestures" and "gang signs." audism is the fact that Deaf people (and especially multiply marginalized Deaf people such as Black Deaf people) disproportionately experience police brutality even when it isn't lethal.

it actually is insane to me that it's a cultural norm for men to suck ass at getting their wives/gfs gifts. especially when they whine about how they have no idea what women like.

if it makes you think, makes you feel, then it's real. we are shaped by the internet every day. we communicate with each other more online than ever. and you have the audacity to say that it isn't real???

we forgot somewhere along the way that the internet was invented as a way to share information and ideas so that academics and researchers could collaborate across distances and share resources. it was meant for connection and innovation. it very much was meant to affect our material lives. it's the very definition of connection and community at its core.

so when people claim that a problem or issue or topic isnt relevant simply because the forum or platform is online, I think it really discredits all the work that generations of people who fought for the ability to freely share their story with the world, and continually develop new ways of sharing those resources

In world controlled by those who want to isolate us and cut off our connection to each other and ourselves, viewing the online world as connection and community and freedom will go a lot farther than dismissing the vast universe of opinions, research, and stories as "fake" because you can't physically touch it.

A priest decided that was an utterly anti humanitarian course of action (rightfully so) and so his solution.. was to destroy those rocks with a hammer.

I'm not Catholic (in fact, I grew up Jewish and am now atheist) but I feel this is what religion is supposed to be about. Using the divine to help humans behave a little more... human.
