Treat your ears right. Listen to this album.
holy crap, it’s a beauty. I listened to Oceania [the new Smashing Pumpkins record], and then the new JSE, and after my first impressions of both, there’s more in the JSE that has my curiosity piqued to keep coming back to it.
I really like the way many tracks include an instrumental interlude/wackiness to segue between tracks.
To say more about the new JSE; the songwriting is unbelievable, each song is hit out of the ball park, each one a real gem. From everything of I’ve heard of yours, these are the best of the best. The production, again, is out of this world. I don’t understand what you’re doing and how you’re able to put it together, and if it sounds like that in your head, but my jaw is gaping open most of the time when I’m listening. It’s truly an experience. I love how it always sounds like its miliseconds from flailing apart, but just slips into a new skin, and constantly shifts perspectives. Unreal.
