Our Spooky Staten Island series continues with Cunard Hall at Wagner College. Legend has it that following his tragic death in 1890, a man’s ghostly face can be seen peering out from the mansion’s windows.
Have you seen this apparition or any other ghosts at Wagner College?
For the month of October, we will be celebrating all things spooky about Staten Island!
Let’s start things off with Snug Harbor, rumored to be one of the most haunted locations in the borough. It’s been featured on “Ghost Hunters" on the Syfy Channel and "Ghost Adventures" on the Travel Channel. Be sure to check back with them later this month to find out about ghost tours!
Have you ever had a spooky situation at Snug Harbor?

ELEPHANTS ARE THE BEST!
After writing, casting and shooting the pilot for LOST in less than six weeks, how did J.J. Abrams and Damon Lindelof prepare the show to go to series? Here’s a PDF of the guide for writers in how to conceive stories…almost all of which went out the window, including a promise that the show would be ‘self-contained,’ the plans to make the show’s base a ‘jungle’ set (built on a soundstage) and that Locke has ‘A PLAN’ (he didn’t). It’s a fascinating look at how to create a structure for a TV show — and the changes that can happen once that show actually gets made. (via BoingBoing via Zack)
Coming Soon of the Day: Escape from Tomorrow, An Unauthorized Feature Film Shot in Disney World
After all those paperworks and legal efforts by Disney to keep their Mickey Mouse out of the public domain, the utopian Magic Kingdom is about to get real gritty with the upcoming release of Escape From Tomorrow, an unauthorized black-and-white film secretly shot in Disney World. Directed by Randy Moore, this first-of-its-kind film follows a tale of Jim White (Roy Abramsohn), who slowly succumbs to paranoia and insanity while vacationing with his family in the world famous amusement park. According to EW, the film will be theatrically released in select cities and simultaneously launched via digital platforms on October 11th.
To take nothing away from “The Fox" which is obviously an incredible work of artistic genius, but the best thing about "The Fox" is that it has lead the the discovery of the existence of "Stonehenge". And "Stonehenge" is the best.
Now do any more countries have their own versions of Flight of the Conchords that we should know about?
Hey. Hey you. This is fucking incredible.
