What do you think of a lance as a weapon for a lightning flame user and a platypus as a lightning box weapon? Thanks
It sounds cool bro! Lightning flames are used mainly for hardening so almost any weapon can fit in. Just adding this now that Lightning Flames are highly recommended for OCs who's area is not offense but defense, but it can be used with both. As for a platypus being a box weapon, well, there aren't really specifics to box weapons and I'm very lenient with animal of choices unless it's something that doesn't even exist (like dragons and dinosaurs which goes for Millefiore members only) so yeah platypus works as a lightning box weapon how that works is entirely up to you, would they electrocute the enemy by their tail? or by their beak? it's your call. It can work either way.
I'll be running this blog again although it would be slow as poke and probably hitting hiatuses every now and then but I'm alive and back to answer the questions and review the OCs you may have! For the meantime, the ask box and submit box will be closed until I get everything set one again.

And that goes for anything transportation. Large families have their own military equipment as well as their own transportation for the boss' travels because of safety issues as well as wow how conspicuous would they be sitting in the first class section of the airplane with their men sitting around him when the seatbelt light is on and standing on guard when it's not. Nah, they have their own private jets or even helicopters that are piloted by their subordinates because, well, it's easy to just stick a bullet on the don in a public airplane no matter where he's sitting right?
If someone had a split personality, could the other personality have a different main flame?

Split personality eh? Tricky business. Dissociative identity disorder is a rare mental disorder and rarely pulled off well. This is a serious disease and if you haven't done enough research, then I suggest you do if you want to push through this idea.
I would love to see an OC with a split personality done well tho.
To answer your question, no. split personality is a mental aspect. Flames are physical, it exists and goes with the flow of the blood in the body. Even if another 'self' springs out the body still produces, for example, rain flames. However, if the OC posseses two flames, for example: sun and lightning. The other self might prefer lightning over sun instead.
It depends. While you can be a busybody informant who travels all around the world in search of information directly, there are other informants who just stays on the office and get information on the internet, and occasionally goes out to directly get information by means of observing/talking. You can only go far using the net, there are certain information you can get by being there, in flesh, seeing, hearing, experiencing firsthand a valuable intel.
I have an OC who is a bodyguard/protector/traveling companion for my other OC, who's an informant, since that OC isn't so good at combat. He actually talks a lot and is quite hyperactive when he's around his friends, however he is quiet when he's with other people (that includes that other informant OC). In critical times, he can be serious too. I'm quite confused about what flame to give him, what is your suggestion? He is a good fighter and maybe battle smart, since he's the protector.
I really don't know. I think I said it a million times that flames are the most flexible thing in the series - you could just give him any type of flame (except of course, Night, earth flame, and other canonically special type of flame that can exist on one person only) and I won't question it. Suggesting a flame based on the job is really hard, it might be easier if it was based on his fighting style instead.
What are your thoughts on a family that can only be ruled by women? Like, they can have guardians of any gender but the boss must be woman.
Well a family has it's own traditions and if the boss says so, then the boss says so. I'm not saying that the world is sexist but there would be people who would doubt her capabilities as a leader because of their gender; a member of the family plotting against the boss isn't uncommon (yes, I'm looking at you Xanxus), and because KHR is like 80% male, there's got to be someone there who would had the gal to think 'is she really suitable for a leader? then shit hits the fan - and as this is KHR canon, though they don't specifically look down on woman and talk trash, they aren't holding them in high esteem. So the boss woman's relationship with other more sexist boss (Xanxus being a likely option) might be rocky and alliances might be difficult to form.
HOWEVER, that's not to say I'm discouraging you from doing it. By all means, you can carry it out. The Giglio Nerro had female bosses for three generations and they all received the respect they deserve because they are strong women. Maybe not physically, but they certainly posses the charisma and leadership skill needed for a boss.
There are advantages and disadvantages but hey, all kinds of boss have that. Respect is something that can be earned, maybe not easily, but it is possible as long as she has the right personality and ability for it. Physical strength hardly matters, although it's necessary in the mafia world, I mean look at Luce, Aria, and Yuni. Heck, even Reborn respects Luce a lot.

Okay so school has once again begun and here I am, sitting on my ass and already doing homework.

I know Mammon/Viper is male... But is it false to go against it and believe Mammon is female? (Mostly that idea has set itself in my head, because of the female voice in the anime.) It's hard to believe Mammon being male, after I imagined always a female arcobaleno...
I personally think he’s male. Despite the gender-neutral pronouns, he was grouped in the main category in the popularity poll and stayed that way. The official VIZ translation says he’s male, but then again those aren’t credible sources enough I decided to trust the wiki instead.
people can have a huge debate about Mammon’s gender for all I care but unless Amano came out and officially declared that Mammon is a male or a female, none of either sides will be right. Mammon’s gender is, until now, pure speculation. It didn’t help how Amano drew him/her in his/her adult form.
Would a Italian/German heritage work? And if it will, could you give me some name suggestions? Say if the mother was Italian, and the father was German.
Of course it will, I don't see why an Italian woman and a German man can't fall in love and produce an offspring (unless if one is infertile but that's not the point). As for naming suggestions, it depends on the parents. They could have a huge debate for hours what name they could give to a child and probably even longer since the topic on which heritage should we base the name can come up. You could choose and italian or a german based name - either is okay. I'm advising against giving her a middle name though, since middle names are a rarity in the series even the Italian people (Superbia Squalo, Dino, ect ect). Once you decide on which the name should be based and still have trouble thinking up a name, I found this to be really useful.

His Trait/Personality
I know guys that you already know his personality but i’m just going to list it to be more CLEAR and he’s not like a…cliched bad boy manga where he’s actually soft and blech like most fanfic would imagine him to be. He is….
Foul-mouthed, I mean come on, i’m surprised that japan doesn’t do censorship to all the tons of swore gokudera has been saying.
Kind of..a Tsundere, where ‘tsun’ with everyone else and ‘dere’ to tsuna.
Socially Awkward,
Very Hot-headed, when he found someone annoying (like lambo) he’ll get irritated very easily.
Rude, making horrible nicknames like for ex. Yamamoto = baseball freak. Ryohei = lawnhead.Haru = stupid woman. Lambo = Dumb Cow, etc.
Gets Jealous when it of course, involves tsuna. He hates Yamamoto because his dear tenth is paying Yamamoto attention and that leads Gokudera to rivalry for the position of right hand man. (though it’s obviously one-sided)
Blunt, he’ll DEFINITELY tell you if he doesn’t like you and if he wants someone to fuk off, he’ll DEFINITELY say it.
Genius. Duh, I mean, he actually figures out the Sistema C.A.I.! it’s like studying a foreign language w/o the help of a dictionary or something but yeah you get the point right?
Very loyal when you gained his trust COMPLETELY (only happened to tsuna,reborn though)
TYL, He may seem to be harsh towards lambo, yamamoto and just with the other guardians but when they are in danger, he will protect them without hesitation.
His curiosity. He is fond with everything strange or paranormal that at some point he called Dino’s turtle a mountain god and started chanting (it’s a funny episode okay) and with great interest, he occasionally read books or watch tv about it.
He’s impulsive, meaning, doing action without thinking about his health when it involves insulting Tsuna or his pride. He’s pushing himself too hard that he’s in risk of dying many times and thank goodness that Tsuna or Yamamoto will stop him from doing that.
Since Gokudera is not the easiest person to get along with. He got some..rejection issue that he find it hard to get accepted due to his past mafia family or his dad. So when Tsuna accepted him as a subordinate, he is very loyal to him (or actually, he got defeated by tsuna’s dying will)
Gokudera takes a lot of time to warm up to people because he seems them as either honorable (Tsuna,reborn,etc.) or a nuisance. He did understand the power of friendship/teamwork though, as shown in the ring battles when he gave up his ring to bel so that he can watch fireworks and have snowball fights with Tsuna and the rest, and when he and Yamamoto goes up against Gamma, where Gokudera insist on taking Gamma alone but then Yamamoto disagreed and went as far to hit him. They did paired up and succeeded but then eventually got defeated.
Possible Compatible Traits
There are Do/s and Dont/s that I can help you with and lets start with Dont/s first because I think it’s more important.
And guys, I can’t really stop you from using your imagination and this is just my opinion on what OC trait would fit Gokudera’s personality, and if your idea is not listed here, why not just submit it to us and we’ll see so that we will add it here? ♥
DONT/S:
Insult Tsuna or his pride as a “right-hand man” or else your situation will become like this.
Make your OC too annoying, borderline might be fine but Gokudera doesn’t need a second lambo in his life.
Make your OC choose between him/her or Tsuna, I mean seriously? Gokudera is caring once your OC get to know him 100%…but he will always prioritize Tsuna and your OC will not take it away even if they’re very close. I mean, he will still care about your OC but Tsuna is his top priority.
Make your OC…do a suggestive move or flirt, Gokudera values the meaning of personal space so if your OC will do that, he’s gonna be irritated.
Pair him with someone as hot-headed as him. Being impatient is fine, having bouts of anger is fine, but a person with the same level of temper with Gokudera is really incompatible. Shouting matches will occur.
DO/S:
Make your OC know her/his place. Gokudera will not care about him/her if your OC doesn’t respect or friends with Tsuna.
Differentiate your OC from the other “fangirls” or just girls in general, what makes your OC special that it gained Gokudera’s feelings (Ray prefers to call it ‘attention’)? was it her fighting skills/ intelligence/ knowledge/interest about paranormal stuff? it can be anything as long as it has something to do with Gokudera’s interest/hobbies, it will be discussed later on.
Let your OC be kind or at least patient enough to deal with Gokudera’s temper.
Opposite attract is recommended, it will balance each others strengths and weaknesses and it’s more interesting that way than a blank boring girl/dude.

This list is a random interest/hobbies of Gokudera. I hope this list will help you to create a scenario with him. I’ll also add an idea, but of course you don’t have to follow it because its half-ass, lol. Don’t forget to be creative :D
Likes to play the Piano. (A scene where the OC is trying to play the piano but failed and it annoyed Gokudera to the point he gave the OC a demonstrate and wolaaa, a scene!)
His pride is being a Guardian and serving Tsuna. (*cough* Respect is the main point)
It was said that he owns an apartment which he’s struggling to pay the rent. (Uhh, the OC is a neighbour?)
Likes supernatural and paranormal stuff. (I think it’s cute when the OC likes to tell about ghost and stuff to his/her friends then that quirks the attention of Gokudera…a tiny little bit)
Likes skulls and…punk things likes chains, rings,etc. (Nah, I don’t think the OC will need to dress up like this, but meeh, your choice)
He doesn’t accept help easily. (Pairing him with a Nosy character is okay as long as he/she can control it)
He thinks anyone who is older than him is an enemy. (But it doesn’t mean that a younger OC will improve the chance of having his attention)
He wears glasses and sometimes with ponytail when having a SERIOUS business (I felt like I needed to add it here so….)
Gokudera is ambidextrous. (Nothing to add here)
Heavy chain smoker, in the manga. (You can’t stop him from taking his cancer sticks because this is the way he….lives)
He’s messy when working. (So if your OC is a neatfreak..it’s either gonna be an advantage to Gokudera or a disadvantage for your OC)
He’s Hot. (It makes me so weak other than Yamamoto..*cough*)
TIPS
When building a relationship with him, it’s got to be SLOOW. If you’re having any problems, follow the cycle of a relationship stage as stated below.
Relationship Stages (This is suggested/optional okay)
Meeting stage
As stated earlier, He doesn’t trust anyone easily so you have to build acquaintance stage first just to make some little progress with him and it’s gonna take a looooooooooooooooooooooooooong time to make it to the friend status. To achieve the friend status, your OC got to have a common interest with Gokudera and will respect Tsuna.
Frienship stage
He considers you as a friend..barely, now what? He’ll probably have a nickname just for your OC (think of a terrible nickname that suits your OC) and will just approach you if it’s necessary like, “Hey ____! Where is Tenth?” “Have you seen Tenth?” “Stay away from Tenth” Yep, that’s friendship. Think of a way where you’ll prove to him that your OC is respectable and if that’s achieved, make them interact more with their common interest and that will lead to…the best friend stage!
Best Friend Stage
This is the time when your OC views him as a “nice guy, not scary at all, etc.” And Gokudera will see your OC as a good company (NOT IN THAT WAY) and won’t mind being with you even though his precious Tenth is beside him just to talk things about the latest ghost discovery,etc. THE CRUCIAL PART IS………gaining his feelings of course, it has to be executed well and for that to happen, ask yourself why would Gokudera want your OC?
Dating Stage
Woohoo congrats, your OC is now dating Gokudera. Expect a lot of disappointments that will occur for your OC. Remember, Gokudera does live in a dangerous lifestyle and he’ll probably choose to think ways to help the Vongola than to have a date with your OC. To pay for that disappointments, Gokudera will probably feel guilty for breaking his promises to have a lunch with your OC (what, it only happened like, 16 times?).This is a chance to use Gokudera’s intelligence for the ‘best surprise ever’ for your OC’s birthday or an yday or whatever. Aww, isn’t it sweet?
Staying Together Stage
Patience. A lot of Patience. Welp, as long as your OC understands the situation of Gokudera and won’t bitch about it, you’re good to go but of course in every relationship, this will be a problem. A Good relationship won’t have any problems with themselves but the BEST relationship is to have trials and challenges to test on how much are they willing to go for to make this relationship last. Omigod is this general love advice or gokudera’s love advice? but meeh I think it goes both ways hahah
TYL
Like everyone, he’ll mature and won’t be as hot-headed. He’s still Hot. And he’ll still probably choose Tsuna over your OC but don’t worry, he’ll still care for you and maybe, shares an apartment with you? (OMIGOD TOO MANY IDEAS AND FANTASIES..*cough*) Whether your OC is a fighter or not, consider the situation where your OC will be strong enough to self-defense because in the TYL mafia world and where rings controls man’s power, Gokudera is not by your OC’s side at all times, unless they’re partners in crime or in missions or something like that.

Hello, Uncle Ray! I was wondering if you had any references or tips on how to write a hacker/informant. Also, what do you think of throwing darts as a (kind of) weapon for a lightning flame user? They're not a fighter and they mainly use them in case they are forced to fight. Thanks in advance!

Before we proceed anywhere though, hacker is not the same job as an informant. An informant gives information to those who can pay for it (I'm using business terms here), and can hack to get that information. a person who secretly gets access to a computer system in order to get information, or cause damage if they're a troll. Hackers do not necessarily give these information.
As for throwing darts my answer is a big YES. Even if they're a fighter, throwing darts can be a thing, the fact that when coated with lightning flames makes it less likely to 'break' when attempting to stab someone in the eye. I'm going to provide in canon examples. Look at Pantera, who uses bladed pinwheels to kill Longchamp Naito Tsuna, Chikusa uses his yoyo with poison needles to inflict damage to an enemy. In fact, my banana-user OC uses lightning flames to harden the stuff and uses it as a blunt weapon.
So yeah, throwing darts are a go. I don't think there's a canon character who uses it??
