[[Hey guys, sorry I’ve been so quiet lately. Things IRL have been crazy-hectic at best and... very not-great at worst, which has made it hard for me to get into the right mindset for RPing on here. That said, with my birthday right around the corner (as in, the day after tomorrow), I’m hoping that maybe I can get back into the swing of things and follow up on any threads I owe replies to. In the meantime, rest assured that, even with how quiet I’ve been, I have been keeping tabs on everyone here and following all of your awesome RPing! Once they reached the spa rooms, Shelly got the attention of two of her coworkers, who quickly hurried over: A sky-blue Yoshi, and a Goomba with long, brown hair.
"Frost, this is Michelle and Goombanuela, two of my best masseuses. Michelle will handle your scale scrub and facial while Goombanuela tends to your shell."
Goombanuela, who seemed to recognize who Frost was much quicker than Shelly did, gave an affirmative nod.
"Welcome in, Your Highness. Always exciting when we get royalty in here! I'll make sure that shell is so shiny you can see your face in it!"
Michelle, meanwhile, did a quick bow towards the Koopa Queen.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Ms. Frost. Please, step inside one of the available private rooms and remove your shell whenever you are ready."
Frost: *enjoying herself and how her scales seem to be almost sparkling*
Suddenly, an old Drybones rushes in, looking around frantically. (This is Ebony from my mafia Au. She is still a secretary, but is this she works directly for Frost.)
*Frost may have slipped away from her worrying the poor old woman.
Ebody: Oh, where did she go?
While Michelle and Goombanuela tended to Queen Frost in the back, Shelly returned to the front of the salon to prepare things for the koopa queen, as well as take care of other clients as needed. However, right as the spa portion of Frost’s visit was wrapping up, Shelly would be caught by surprise by the sudden appearance of a very anxious Dry Bones.
“Oh! Hello! How can I help you, Miss...?”
Ebony: *shaking and in a british accent* Oh yes, please! Have you seen Queen Frost!
*paniced* I've been looking everywhere for her! That woman escaped my sights again! *angrily waving her fist*
King Bowser and the children will be ready within an hour or two for the photoshot! AND If I don't find her soon, he will have my head! Littrally!
“Ah, there’s no need to worry, ma’am! Ms. Frost came in earlier looking for help getting ready for that photoshoot. She’s currently enjoying a spa service, but she should be wrapping that up soon. Is there anything I can do for you in the meantime?”

Shelly greeted the Cobrat like an old friend before gesturing him to follow her back to her station.
“Trust me, I know how crazy life can be, you don’t have to apologize for missing your appointment. I trust that life is treating you well, at least?”

“I would like that very much. I could ussse a tour guide when you have a moment to ssspare.”
Vasuki hummed in thought as he tried explaining exactly what he had in mind.
“Let'sss sssee… I am visssualizing many sssmall braidsss that can be pulled back into a ponytail or a bun. Isss there a name for that ssstyle?”
His hair now thoroughly washed, Shelly lifted Vasuki back up and combed his hair out, deep in thought.
“I don’t believe there’s usually a more detailed name for such styles beyond just ‘braided ponytail’ or ‘braided bun’. The main distinction would be what kind of braids you’d like - the smaller and tighter the braids are, the easier it is to maintain them. There’s also dreadlocks, of course, but that takes a lot more effort to do, and it’s something I unfortunately do not have much experience with.
“All that said, what you’re describing fits what I was picturing for you perfectly, so even if we don’t have a specific name for it, I think you’ll love what I have in mind.”
The koopa began dividing his hair into sections as she combed, pinning up a large portion of it on top of his head and out of the way. She followed this up by quickly segmenting the remaining hair in the back and on the sides into smaller ponytails... though given that she then reached for her scissors, it was becoming clear that said ponytails were not long for this world.
“You ready to do this, hun? There’s gonna be a lot of falling hair while I work on your undercut, but I promise you’ll still have plenty of long, braided locks to show off once I’m done.”
"A Goomba has joined the Salon now. What your name, Little Missy?"
"Whaddya mean 'now'? I was one of the first girls Shelly hired here! I know us Goombas get overlooked a lot, but come on...
"Anyway, the name's Goombanuela. I'm a masseuse here alongside Michelle - specifically, I practice Ashiatsu Massage because... ya know... lack of hands.
"And yes, being a Goomba who gets to step on other people for a change is indeed quite cathartic, thank you very much."

It staring Mario and all his friends in one big animated feature length film. I’m crossing my fingers to pray for this movie to be a big hit! I just wanted to look good for the opening presentation.”

And to top it all off, she had dyed her hair a deep red, popping beautifully against all the green elsewhere.
