Dear Taylor Swift
I haven’t used tumblr in such a long time, but figured you may have a better chance of seeing this here. I just wanted to thank you for putting Soon You’ll Get Better on the album. I know that was a very hard and personal decision for you and your family. I know it was about your mum, but it instantly resonated with me - and both broke me and gave me hope at the same time. I’ve been very ill for a while now and at 27, have lost those best years of my life. But for the first time in a long time, your words gave me hope. I’ve been a fan since your Sweet Tea & God’s Graces days and I want to tell you immensely proud I am of your new album and how you stay humble. I also want to thank you for The Man. As a fellow singer/songwriter - I totally relate to this song. Many of my male artist friends don’t face the sexual advances, the withholding pay and generally being messed around. One of the biggest problems I face is trying to become successful in a man’s world. Anyway, I absolutely love the new album and hope you are well! :)
