WHY I HAVE NOT BEEN ONLINE RECENTLY

a story by: me

I recently got hired at a new job (that I absolutely love!) and have been working graveyard shifts there the past few nights. So far I have had yesterday and today off. Which is why replies have been stalled here recently.

Now, with this being said I also went to another interview the other day for a job that has full time hours (40+ hours a week), pays almost 1.50 more an hour, benefits, and is basically doing the same thing and it looks good.

If my drug test comes through all good (which only wouldn’t because of how I was on strong codeine when my tooth was taken this past month) then I will more than likely start immediately. I NEED this job, like for real. I have bills and junk out to ying yang. But anyways, although replies may be slower, I am not ignoring anybody. I am just placing my priorities in order with real life coming first to help support my family.

I AM NOT GONE! (I love you guys way too much on allll of my accounts) and will try being on every night still, if not, every other night. My off days I will probably sleep in a bit (to be honest) then get on here for as long as I can.

"Hm?" His head cocked, brows knitting inward a moment before a faint smile curled his lips. "Ysabeau. Bo, actually." After a moment of finding the right words, the wolf smiled ever so slightly, "She is not aligned. Neither dark nor light, but a bit of both. She’s…done amazing things for all fae, things that weaker could not." That he could not have done on his own, or any that he knew. Those stories would soon come, as they always did around the Dal, usually around the time the next threat rolled through their doors and put them all on edge. 

The old wolf smiled, his head shaking slowly, “Lass, there is very little you could bring to my life that wasn’t already there at the start. Even worse, there is little you could bring that wasn’t already in Bo’s. We know the risks, and none of them are your worry.” Calloused hands lifted to brush away the tears as they finally gave. “Your jobs with the dark ‘ave little to do with where you live or who y’er family is. If Evony wishes a fight, she can have it with me.” He would hear no further on the matter, his head shaking. He worked with a dark fae daily, with Tamsin. He trusted her with his life and there was no reason fro the same to be held of his own blood. 

"If you begin causing trouble, then we’ll deal with it and you’ll stay, Saoirse. I lost you once, I’m no’ about to lose you when I’ve only gotten y’back now." His arms circled her once more, pulled her back close and tight, as if he was afraid to let go, afraid this would be a nightmare, a dream turned real, turned dark. He didn’t want to wake up, didn’t want to lose the only good that ever came from his past, dark or not. "Y’leave me, lass, and I will spend m’life hunting you."

"Da' did y'say Ysabeau. She is famous 'round t'e world for who and how she is. To not choose a side---t'ogh I heard she was dark for a bit t'ere or were t'at just spinnin' tales from Evony?” Saoirse spoke remembering the tales of the infamous succubus girl that was neither dark nor light. It was amazing to think that she would be a part of that family when so many had wanted her but if this Bo meant so much to her father then the wolf shifter was willing to fight tooth and nail, quite literally, to save her or keep her safe if it came down to it. "Da', I won't be leavin' if y'want me t'stay. I promise y' t'at. However y' will 'ave to let me go eventually so we can go back upstairs. T'ey are goin' t' be sendin' the search party after y' soon." She joked, turning to walk back up the staircase. Somehow she knew that the valkyrie was prbably still close by if more had not already gathered. Saoirse thought about shifting because she felt more comfortable in that form but around strangers she was unsure. They may take every move the wrong way at first.

As Saoirse met the top of the staircase she pushed through the door that lead into the back room of the Dal and kept her head down heading straight for the bar. As promised she ordered up drinks for Dyson and all of his friends in the bar with top shelf liquor. Laying down the money to Trick he eyed her suspiciously. She had met him in her travels years before when she was taking on assignments and had been a bit of trouble but she was only following her loyalty to the dark. He accepted the money and left the bottle of top shelf gin and whiskey on the bar for her. She poured herself a nice tumbler filled with the whiskey without any ice and downed it. Tamsin seemed to still be watching her but she simply smiled and raised her glass up. "Cheers t' new friends." The people that could care less who she was cheered along with her and downed their free drink before conversing amongst themselves.

Missing Friends | Kenzi & Saoirse

Rolling her eyes playfully, she didn’t feel so scared now, since her friend had turned up to save her, she knew she could always count on her when her best friend was out of town, important fae business was the excuse this time, but she was pretty certain on the fact that she just wanted to get away with dyson, shaking her head from her thoughts she then let a soft uneasy giggle pass her lips before glancing around,

“its.. a long story, that i’d gladly tell you when we’re home wolf pup” giving you a soft smile she then watched as you turned back into your wolf form, holding onto you gently as she followed you weakly out of the cave.

Saoirse walked with Kenzi in wolf form towards the end of the cave. As they were almost there she sensed something was wrong. There had to be something wrong. Crouching down low the young wolf growled, baring her teeth as she looked towards the darkness. Darting away from Kenzi she headed towards the tunnel that lead off to the side. A noise was heard followed by what sounded like gun fire. Saoirse yelped but managed to take the man down, returning back to Kenzi's side, her paw bleeding pretty good from a new wound. She ignored it and nudged her best friend's side to show her to keep walking. Had she not taken that man down he would have signaled for a retaliation against them by a bunch of hidden goons around the area.

The walk seemed like forever but eentually they got back to the clubhouse where the wolf shifter stayed in her wolf form and curled up on the wooden floor of the room, whimpering as she licked at the wound she had acquired. Shifting back after a few minutes she grabbed a towel to cover herself then looked towards Kenzi. "I don't guess y'ave any pliers and some of t'e bandaids anywhere 'round 'ere do y'?" She questioned in her accented voice. "And perhaps a change o'clothes."

"An' much like m' Da' I could shift before y' even had a chance to flick a finger m' way." Saoirse retorted, smiling towards Vex. She was not trying to push him, simply make kind conversation with an acquaintance.

Bo gave her a sleepily confused look “Wha…. what?” The innuendo flying right over her head.

"I heard a lot of noise last night up 'ere in t'e clubhouse. T'at's why I said Da' must've slipped y' t'e hot beef injection." Saoirse laughed. "Or y'were gettin charged up."

A deep sigh escaped Kenzi’s lips as she leant her head back against the wall, this was probably one of the times when she wished she was fae, that stupid fake fae power did nothing but make her look like a freaking firework show, rolling her eyes at her own thoughts she frowned, feeling sorry for herself wasnt going to get her anyway, but maybe the approaching figure might,

“S!” her voice in a hushed whisper as she watched the guards flop to the floor, widening her eyes as she noticed you were nude she then giggled softly before watching you break the chains free quite easily “well, you know, i didnt plan on running off but that bastard is gonna pay, lets get out of here, you may want to wolf out again, ya nudist!”.

Saoirse laughed at what Kenzi said about her shifting back. Looking down at her body she smirked and playfully punched her friend in the arm gently. "T'is comin' from a lass t'at lives with a Succubus. Succubi t'ink i's nudist colonies most of t'e time." The shifter smiled again and hugged Kenzi one last time. "I'm glad y'are okay, Kenz. T'at wretched Druid is still in 'ere someplace. Can I ask, were y'using t'at cheap stuff he was sellin' before for fae powers? From what I understand from Evony 'e can be a bit rough when it comes t'payin up."

Saoirse was worried that Kenzi would get into worse trouble next time and would wind up getting hurt by dark fae. Massimo had to pay and be taught a lesson but there and now was not the time. The shifter's eyes turned gold as she smiled one last time then let out a little whimper as she shifted back down into the beautiful wolf like Dyson could. Padding around Kenzi she motioned for the girl to follow her out the way that she had came.

In Search | Bo & Saoirse

Bo’s eyes narrowed at the girls blithe reaction to her questioning. SHe swallowed down her anger as she took a drink of her water. “In that case… let’s go someplace less public and have a chat about it” she suggest in the most calm voice she could manage. Meanwhile she was inwardly chanting ‘must not get upset, stress isnt good for the baby, must not get upset, stress isnt good for the baby’.

Bo’s eyes fell on the poster in the girl’s hand and that mantra went out the window. She snatched it from her, bringing it up to examine it as Hale stood up in the corner, obviously a bit nervous. “There’s a backroom where we can talk… right now” the last two words came out as a harsh order as Bo held the flyer tightly in her slightly shaking hand. She didn’t know who this girl was but so help her if she was some old lover of Dyson’s coming around to try and get him back. Heads would roll.

"Easy, easy. T'at is a vintage poster mind you." Saoirse spoke before turning to face Bo. Given that only the girl's smile and eyes were exact replicas of Dyson's it wouldn't immediately stick out as far as who she was. Clearing her throat the shifter looked towards Hale then back towards Bo once again. "S'long as y'keep your siren friend t'ere quiet t'en we won't have any problems talkin' in private." That wasn't a threat by any means. The girl, or any shifter for that matter, highly disliked siren calls since they were like dog whistles that worked on everyone. Standing up straight she paid Trick along with a nice tip before walking back into the back storage room away from the public's ear as far as she knew. "Just don't go shootin' the messenger here if y'don't like what I say, okay lass?" She asked in a kind voice before shutting the door behind them. "First off I mean y'no harm nor any of your friends out t'ere, okay? I may be dark but it don't mean t'at I'm bad but y'should know t'at." Saoirse smiled once again. "M'name is Saoirse Thornwood, by birth."

As Kenzi handed Bo her drink, Water unfortunately but as Dyson said ‘it’s the price of being a ma’m, she muttered to Bo that ‘that girl’ was around again. Later Bo would blame the rush of anger she felt on her rampant hormones. She stood, a bit slowly due to her recently growing belly and walked over to the bar where the girl was, her eyes on the door. Obviously she was waiting for someone, probably Dyson and Bo did not like that one bit.

Bo approached the girl with a smile as Kenzi and Hale watched from the sidelines, the Siren obviously prepared to step in if his partner’s mate’s pregnancy temper got her into trouble. “Hi” Bo said in an overly cheerful tone as she moved to sit down at a bar stool “I hope you don’t mind if I sit down to talk to you… not very comfortable standing at the moment” she laughed a little as she placed a hand on her mild baby bump. “So…. do you want to tell me why you’ve been looking for my mate? because I honestly have to admit it isn’t a comforting thought that a pretty girl like you is stalking him…”

"The infamous gal' with eyes both brown an' blue." The shifter spoke, sitting on her stool as she smirked taking a drink from the lager Trick had poured her. "An' y'be havin' a lil' lass or lad, I see." Saoirse spoke in her native accent, still smiling but not yet facing Bo directly on. How would this woman react to learning just who she was? That was bound to be a tough situation. "Y'ave to be more specific though, miss. T'ere could be so many fine young men travelin' a long ways to see you, am I right? A beauty such as y'self." Saoirse commented before she finished her drink off, pulling an old boxing flyer of Dyson on it out.

"T'is be t'man I am lookin' for, and as for reasonin' let's just say it goes back a few centuries. You'd have to succubust t'e answer outta' me in public, lass." Saoirse joked motioning for Trick to bring her another beer as she relaxed in her chair still not answering Bo's question as to why she was there for Dyson.
