I fully copied Blanc's fit from the costume the prince wears in Donkey Skin (1970) (see below)... When I was trying to think of which medieval period to set this drawing in I was at a bit of a loss until I realized I could just make it fantasy/fairy tale vibes

Jud's crest is obviously inspired by Eve's apple :) in this au he is like... A religious knight rather than a priest I suppose?

Little guardian angel birds hiding in the branches but overlooking our heroes quest... Looking at my other favorite film of all times La Chimera (2023) for this but also at the slay user judblanc posts of Blanc and Jud being an owl and a crow

They are barely visible in the full drawing but I used a lot of fun textures in this >:)

💖 these are the four artists who, in light of the most recent season, appear to have carried iwtv on their backs while the white showrunner got all the credit. very impressed with their work not just writing/directing/editing-wise but because their presence clearly set a certain tone in that writers' room. and i imagine it took quite a bit of effort to maintain it, considering what that writers' room turned into once they were no longer in the picture. i'm really excited to keep an eye on their careers and i hope they move on to do great things with more creative control

i love movies, judblanc, and letterboxd, so i made letterboxd lists of what i think some of jud’s and blanc’s favorite films would be and wanted to show you all!! if you tap the little glasses icon it also shows my explanation for why i chose the films! if anyone has any recommendations for either please lmk and i’ll watch them and add them!!! :)
