First of Many

Checked out a coffee shop in Upland today - Brew Bees. Cute interior. I got the Lil Foggy - it's a black tea with some other things in it. I loved it. Got to read a bit of Rick Rubin's The Creative Act: A Way of Being and I journaled a little too. So here I am, back on Tumblr. Key takeaways from today. Practice mindfulness and be aware. Words escape me as I try to write down all the residues of you. Like that hangover I had when we drank one night, my head spins and my mouth feels dry. I want to throw up, but you refuse to go.

Intoxicated by the feelings that's left in me, you’re like alcohol in my veins. You’re like drinking. We started so good, and it was fun. Then I realized I fell, face first. And now I can't back up.

I think I ripped my jeans, or was that the little box in my chest? I try to think long and hard. Why can’t I stop wanting you? I should’ve listened to mom, she said alcohol’s bad for you. She tried giving me water.

Water, he’s my water. He quenches my thirst. My body absorbs his benefits. Water’s what I need. Water makes me better, alcohol makes me dazed. Yet if I were to choose, I’d still choose alcohol.

I’d still choose you. The alcohol, the bitter taste in my mouth. Like when you came back the last time. Alcohol that makes my stomach churn, like you do when a thought of you comes to mind. Alcohol that makes my head spin, like you still do when I see you.

Words escape me as I try to write down all the residues of you. It’s 6:00pm, I have to be somewhere.
