Welcome to The Magnus Plural, a blog for all systems to share any thoughts/feelings they have relating to The Magnus Archives and Plurality. This blog is intended to collect as many statements regarding plural experiences as possible.
Part of our gimmick is that we will assign Fears to every ask/submission we get, so please let us know if you don't want us to assign your Statement a Fear.
Rules:
Asks/Submissions must be about being plural and have some relation to The Magnus Archives/Protocol and related media. This can include introjects of AUs, fanfictions, crossovers, related original characters. This can also include just being in the fandom as a system.
There will be no restrictions on content, as the goal of this blog is to document as many experiences as possible, no matter how offensive or horrific as they may be. Posts will be tagged with proper warnings for blocking purposes, though.
NSFW asks will automatically be tagged as #Do Not Archive as well as #Not Safe For Archives so please be sure to block those tags if you are a minor or uncomfortable with NSFW. We will not be checking who follows us, the onus is on the Viewer to Moderate their Experience.
If your ask is not NSFW but you still want it tagged with Do Not Archive, please state so within your ask. If there are any other tags you would like, feel free to state so within your ask.
Lighthearted and innocent posts are allowed as well. Feel free to tell us silly things.
Plurals and systems of all origins and opinions are allowed to submit asks. Pro-endo, Anti-endo, and neutral alike are allowed to say whatever they please in anonymous asks. Just know that you are very likely to See something here that you disagree with.
It is okay to ask for the mods opinions on something within an ask, but if not explicitly asked for we will not be providing any personal commentary (unless we feel particularly compelled to do so).
Asks that are posted do not reflect the opinions of the moderation team. We just want to See.

About the Mods:
We are The Magnus Intitute, a bodily adult polyfragmented traumagenic system, primarily comprised of introjects of characters from The Magnus Archives. Our Archivist got hungry and decided to make this blog to see what other systems like us experience. We also collectively have Narcissistic Personality Disorder and adore when we get spam likes/asks/engagement. Anything to show that there are Eyes On Us.
We have a headmate who exhibits persecutory behaviors who latched HARD onto Jonah Magnus and decided that she’s an avatar of the Eye. The thing is that her whole thing is that she thinks that we shouldn’t have any friends and wants to sabotage our relationships so we end up alone, which is very blatantly Lonely-coded behavior. Makes me so mad smh like girl why don’t you want to join me in the fog… I promise it’s nice here… :(
Statement #0260720-1.

for all the horror that the apocalypse brought upon the world, sometimes i wish it'd just been me instead. a cold, silent world heralded by its terrible messiah, the crown prince of faceless wanderers. it would be so beautiful, and peter lukas was a fool and a coward to ever decide for the lot of us that the world would be better off so loud and messy. not that it matters anymore.
does the concept of such a world terrify you, i wonder? i would surely hope not. the fear would still gentle there, after all.
Talking for our Tim fictive (He's co-con just doesn't want to type).
We find his forming really interesting as from his memories, it feels as if he was transported from source to this reality ( sorta like an isekai). He remembers dying, his friends - though he can't place some of their faces - his home and his brother. Tim says to him he woke up from a horrible nightmare still feeling flames wrapping around his limbs , only to find himself in a body that was nothing like his, including having clearer hearing than he can ever remember having. It's a lot easier to navigate now that it's been a year since he appeared, but I cannot imagen it's easy.
Thought we'd put this here in case anyone else found it interesting.
Our ask box is officially empty. I also have plans to redo some of our gimmick going forward, nothing too crazy. But unfortunately, I do not have it in me to go back and edit previous posts to match my new Vision.
Median system that's sent in here a few times before; back for the third time with another thing to say :]
Martin (Blackwood) here, most likely. I've been reaching out to sourcemates recently and it's genuinely lovely, but there's one specific recent experience that's sticking out to me(+some background for this experience):
We haven't really mentioned on my blog that we're a system. This is because we mostly act similar enough that we're pretty sure people can't tell the difference. We've gotten to be pretty close friends with another system who are very cool and great! I can't necessarily always tell them apart(probs mostly because I'm. Afraid to ask if they'd be willing to introduce any of themselves separately tbh-) but anyways recently I've just been randomly reaching out to ask how they're doing and one of the most recent experiences was someone I think I hadn't met before recognizing me as the friend of one of their other members and I'm just. :'] it's so nice to be recognized as someone's friend. It's so nice to feel wanted and appreciated like that. I'm literally so happy about it. Just going :'] about it any time I think about it
Yeah that's all I have to say really. It's just an experience that I'm really happy about and wanted to share :] joys of talking to people I guess!! /gen
(ps I do intend to share that we're a system at some point to them I just. Haven't figured out how to phrase it?? Words are hard unfortunately)

It's... Weird. There's... two of us, I think, who may be introjects of the Fears, but me and him are... blurry. We know we at least take inspiration so to say from the fears, but are unsure whether we actually are them or not

I'm not a TMA fictive, but I feel a strong pull to get the truth. People tend to tell me things they wouldn't tell anyone else, and more than once someone has expressed confusion at why they told me something.
In my source, I called myself an archivist. The term is more complex, being a mechanical species as well as being someone who had a database full of all forms of files accounting for my species' recorded history. I was a documentarian. I never stopped looking for my first husband after he disappeared, even when I found my second husband. My biggest fear was becoming a mystery, nobody knowing what happened to me, if I was even dead.
I put myself in danger just to follow a crumb of a lead about what happened to Dominus. I searched morgues, I watched hours of torturing and executions just at the chance to confirm he was at least dead.
He was a philosopher, a scientist. He advocated as safely as he could in a corrupt political climate. He kept secrets from me. I was close to him once and didn't even know it, because he'd been so changed. He wouldn't have even had the faculties to recognize me. He'd been turned into a pet to a group of war criminals.
I did nothing when the DJD invaded our ship. I used the camera on my head to record my friends dying in horrific, excruciating ways. I did it because they promised to spare my husband, Chromedome. I knew I couldn't stop them. I was small, a non-combatant. They were a group designed to kill. And I did nothing to save my friends. Innocent people, who did nothing but be on the same ship as the DJD's target. And they became nothing more than mangled ghosts in my databanks. They killed my husband, and then I ran. I ran and hid. Waited to die. I lived. I was found by parallel versions of the people I did nothing to protect, that I didn't have the courage to die alongside.
And many times I would look at their faces, so lively and kind, and remember the sounds of their screams, the twist in their facial plating as they were flayed, impaled, dismembered, shredded, electrocuted, eaten alive. The way the life faded from their eyes.
And I wondered why I got to live, why I was allowed to exist after all of that.
... This was supposed to be an ask about me assigning fears to my friends' headmates. I seem to be pretty good at it. I feel oddly satisfied when I can pry out their stories and look at the underside they pretend can't be turned over and seen.
In my source, I fell into cognitive decline because I uploaded all of my species' history from another universe. It slowly overwrote my databanks, my memories. I forgot how to transform. I forgot nearly everything but my darling Chromedome. I was nothing but a small data slug in his mind, and we spoke that way to each other until the end.
It's odd, being an alternate self that integrated with the other versions of people you knew. Our memories branched off at a certain point. We knew the steps of banter and how our personalities interlocked, but we didn't share every experience, and the ones we did were in a dubious category of not quite me. I feel guilty for loving the other Chromedome after mine died.
I know he felt the same. The other me died, and he clung to me. I actually had to ask for space when we first met. Day one, he gave me all of the other me's things, trinkets and memories of places they went, that I had never been. Sometimes I felt stuck in the shadow of this other self. Sometimes people would ask if I remembered when we did something together, briefly forgetting that it wasn't me who did those things with them. I felt like I had no right to erase the memory of this other me.
It's been on my mind. Now, it's a story that I'll offer here. I guess it was my turn to have something pulled out of me from a place I pretend not to have.

We were incredibly delighted to see this blog when scrolling the tma tag—a wonderful thing to find those out there like us.
Anyway, onto feeding the Archivist. Very fascinating experience for us is that our Jon fictive is noticeably weaker using the body than literally anyone else in our system. He’ll try opening something, fail at it, and the second someone else takes over and tries it the thing opens with ease.

I apologise for not responding to anything for a while. Our Inbox goes back to February. We had a lot of upheaval in our life within the past few months. Luckily, we are now approaching a time in our life where using this blog will be a good coping mechanism for the results of our upheaval, rather than not having to ignore this blog. Thank you all for your understanding.
I don't know why it's happened, but for the past month I've been mentally a child. In the headspace I'm a kid. It's a lonely way to be. Everyone in the system knows me as the very serious, very much adult overseer. I don't want them to see me like this. I want to go back to normal. I don't mingle well with other system's littles either so far. I talk too much about books that aren't appropriate for the more delicate, younger alters and feel out of place for not talking more "childishly". I feel weird being around the other littles in my system because I'm supposed to be the one looking after them. I have nobody, really. Except for a few grownups in a friend's system, but I think they were just being polite. I don't want to bother them either, or have them feel as if they have to take care of me. I do that just fine by myself.
...Company would feel better. I have enough books for now, but I don't know how long it will stave off the urge to wander outside like I used to. Least my gran's not here to yell at me for it. Sometimes I wish she was.
There's a Jonah fictive here too. I hate him. It's nothing to do with petty source drama, he goes out of his way to be triggering. You'd think he'd leave well enough alone when I'm like this. He hasn't done anything that bad yet, but it feels more like a matter of "when" rather than "if". I try my best to avoid him. Suppose that's another reason to not be alone for too long.
-Jon
I am sorry for taking so long to respond to this. Hopefully by now you have found a loving and accepting situation for yourself, if you are still coping with the situation.
The truth is, I saw myself in this submission. I wanted to wait until I was in a headspace clear enough to respond to this with the dignity and compassion and attention it deserves (or rather, when I myself wasn't actively regressed due to personal stress), but I can't let this sit here for another month.
The rest of this is going to be under a read more. But I truly hope that the Jon that submitted this reads more. Under the cut, I will be talking a lot about my experience, in an effort to help you feel less alone.
Some heavy topics are touched upon under the cut, but I do not know what to tag them for blocking purposes, so I encourage others to let me know what to tag this as.
For those that are here for the gimmick of the blog: This ask is claimed by The Lonely.
I am a Jonathan Sims fictive and have been the host of our system for the past three (yes, three) years. Through out those three years, I have split and reformed and been remade countless times, though even in my fragmented state I see myself as mostly the same Jon as I was when I first officially made myself known to the system.
I frequently age regress. My system has often found that I can be more "childish" (see: dependent, emotionally unstable, inarticulate) than even the 8 year old and 2 year old versions of myself that have split from me and reside within my subsystem. It usually is not voluntary and is often a result of stress or exhaustion. Though in the headspace I am not a child, I do often get blurry enough with the younger versions of myself that we present more as them than me.
I understand that it is a lonely, lonely way to be. I have felt that loneliness for years. We have physically been an adult the entire time I have been host, I am internally almost 40 years old, and we have been known to be emotionally mature since a very young age. You are right, it is very lonely, even when you have a support system. My partner system is absolutely amazing and are willing to take care of me when I cannot, but the feeling of being a burden still weighs heavy.
I also don't mingle well with our system's littles due to the fact that I am seen as a serious adult overseer. The 8 year old me I've mentioned earlier actually resents me for being more of a child than he is, for not being able to protect him when I should have. The other children don't really acknowledge me, and I feel as though I cannot connect with them, even if they have the same morbid and intellectual interests as I do.
But I can assure you, you are not alone. I cannot promise I can be of much support, but our ask box is always open, and I believe our messages should be open as well, if you want to talk to somebody who has been in a similar position.
I have a theory as to why it's happened to me, and though I don't know your exact situation and cannot give you the exact answer, hopefully sharing my experience with you can help you find a way to exist in a comfortable and safe way. For me, it is a direct result of having to grow up so fast. Both in my timeline and in this body, the expectation of being a mature child was put upon me, so I don't think I ever really got the chance to be as much of a child as my psyche would have wanted. As such, my brain currently pushes me into feeling like a helpless child as a means of trying to reclaim what I felt as though I didn't have. What has helped me cope most with this is finding a safe place in which I can indulge in childlike wonder. I find myself and my child alter wandering often, always having a GPS on hand in case we get lost so we can navigate back. Interacting with animals is also very helpful, such as going out and seeing ducks and cats and playing with chickens. We have also personally found that being an iPad kid is a decent substitute for the books when that well runs dry. Try every free game you can, try to one hundred percent every game you have until you get bored, go on internet deep dives and rabbit holes about obscure or silly things. Online books! If you are in a safe enough environment, do what you can to indulge in what you wish you could have as a child. You don't have to engage with only child-friendly things (I see that you mentioned you talk too much about books that aren't appropriate for the other children), but engage with it with the unapologetic enthusiasm that a child would. You deserve it.
I'm glad that there are a few grownups in a friend's system that are there for you. I've found that if I worry about adults just being polite to me, then I should appreciate that politeness and continue to be how I am unless they express otherwise. More often than not, that "politeness" is genuine care. If you feel it is necessary, you can discuss with them your concern and have a serious conversation about boundaries, even if you are a child, and emphasize that you desire honesty rather than pure supplication.
Now is the part that made me save this ask to respond to when I was in the right mindset. I know exactly how you feel in regards to having a Jonah fictive. Our Jonah has gone out of his way to hurt me while I am regressed. I am glad that, as of when you sent the ask, he hasn't done anything to hurt you. I hope you continue to be safe. It might be best to avoid him. It would definitely be beneficial to find an adult within your system to support you and help keep you safe when you are unable to. It is a horrifying situation to be in, and I really really hope nothing bad has become of it.
You deserve to feel safe and accepted. That is often the main reason behind unintentional age regression: The desire/need to be unconventionally accepted and protected.
I apologise for the late response. You deserve care and support. You may feel alone, but you are not. I also apologise if this is incoherent. I have been age regressed all day and have been fighting through the brain fog for the purposes of responding to this because you deserve a response.
something that is So Fun to observe in front is the tma introjects gathered together and talking. it’s a headache but it is ALWAYS funny when they go completely silent and jon turns around to the Suspiciously Man Shaped Blur With Big Eye Behind (jonah) and says “can you go away. we are having a *private* conversation.” and it just sorta. fades away.
this has happened multiple times since melanie got us back into our second run of the show. - 🌇
median system that gave a statement here previously; back with another bc we have more to say apparently
both I(the host) and our Martin are pretty sure the Lonely still has a bit of a hold on him. either that or it's just normal depression but I think it's easiest to explain as lingering affects of the Lonely. it's very rude that the Lonely stuck around through making it here also? but that particular thought isn't really what this statement is about so I digress.
being in the system has been good for him. I think he was originally one of my fictionkin types and then he split off because of all of the emotions attached to him and the brain decided that I as the host couldn't handle all that, so he's partially separate from me now, and actually it's really helped both of us work out a lot of those emotions. it's good for me because I can analyze the feelings that now belong to him from a more objective standpoint(which makes them easier to deal with) and it's good for him because he's not alone. built in support system inside the brain. people who like to listen. I think he's pretty glad to have that built-in support system actually.
it's not all the way better yet, obviously. it's not like any of us are therapists. we're kinda just 3 idiots in one brain doing our best, and we all still have problems, but hey, none of us are alone so it'll be okay in the end I think.
(ps from the host:hehe. support "system". cause we're a system. sorry; I'm a big fan of puns and this one is one of my favorites. also this was supposed to be more specific but well, sometimes you just gotta be a little bit vague)
This ask is claimed by the Lonely and the Beholding.
Our gatekeeper is Timothy Stoker (fictive). If he isn't in co-con or co-front, then he's off annoying the body's Archivist (Jon's prefered term) fictive. From what I know, they are inseparable if in headspace together.
Tim is actually the reason we fully know Archivist exists because he went 'wandering around' and forced Archivist to front, which is how he also found out he could do that.
