“You…” Thea stopped, surprised from the accent she heard leave the man’s lips. Never in a million years would she have thought there would’ve been another Brit in the small town of Carroll. “God, I think you’ve just become my new favorite person in town. Where is it you’re from originally?” The regonality of his accent was far from her own West Country dialect; but it was still quite familiar. A Londoner? She’d spend a good deal of time in London; and that’s what his accent reminded her of. Then again, she knew London was nothing more than a mish-mosh of people from all over the UK and even the world.
The Mayor exhaled through his nose, humoured by the young woman’s declaration. But he understood; she sounded like home, and that was a place he’d not been to for quite some time. “Likewise, Ms Baudelaire. I’m from London. Hampstead, actually.” Ambrose added, figuring he needn’t be so general with somebody from England. Particularly not somebody as well dressed and as perfumed as she. “Baudelaire... It certainly rings a bell. Your family’s from Bristol, correct?” Not only for her accent but the fact that he’d heard that the Sheriff had planned a trip there.
