According to may pang, when mick jagger learned that john lennon had returned to yoko ono after their 18 month separation, he told her, “I’ve lost a friend.”
after lennon’s “lost weekend,” he returned to yoko. from then on, she dictated who he would spend his time with. one of the people that she decided wasn’t worth john’s time, was mick jagger.
jagger tried talking to john but it was made clear that yoko wanted him out of john’s life. mick jagger said “yoko cut me out” & “when he went back with yoko, i was probably considered one of the ‘bad influences,’ so i was never allowed to see him after that.”
& to think there are still fans who truly seem to believe yoko did not control or manipulate john lennon...it’s baffling. lennon & jagger were good friends, having met before yoko was even in the picture. she ruined it.
john had lost his free will; yoko ono was in charge and everyone around them during that time seemed to know it.
as john lennon said in the song woman, “my life is in your hands.”
“Let me read you a quote by one of my favourite teachers, Almaas. He’s talking about childhood. He says, “The fundamental thing that happened, and the greatest calamity, is not that there was no love or support; the greater calamity, which is caused by that first calamity, is that you lost the connection to your essence. That is much more important than whether or not your mother loved you.” So the first calamity is the lack of love, or the lack of love getting through to you, but the greater calamity caused by that first calamity is that you lost the connection to your essence”

“you have to find what sparks a light in you so that you in your own way can illuminate the world.” Oprah Winfrey
“But what if I should discover that the least among them all, the poorest of all beggars, the most impudent of all offenders, yea the very fiend himself - that these are within me, and that I myself stand in need of my own kindness, that I myself am the enemy who must be loved - what then? Then, as a rule, the whole truth of Christianity is reversed: there is no more talk of love and long-suffering; we say to the brother within us, "Raca," and condemn and rage against ourselves. We hide him from the world; we deny ever having met this least among the lowly in ourselves, and had it been God himself who drew near to us in this despicable form, we should have denied him a thousand times before a single cock had crowed.” ― C.G. Jung

“we took the path that led others nowhere and only we saw the light at the end of the tunnel. they warned us about the monsters we would encounter, the odds that we would meet. and they laughed when we got the scars while fighting the dragons on our way. when we came back out of the tunnel, holding the sword that they always craved for tightly in our hand. bleeding and the sun shining on our face. we became the tales they wanted to be. we became the reflections of what they always wanted to see themselves through. we became the warriors they had always imagined of.” ― Akshay Vasu
