âHmmmâŠwell I guess that makes since. After all, these fish arenât warriors like Undyne and myself. I suppose maybe spaghetti would be too strenuous for their little stomachs.â
Disappointed, but pleased that any major accidents were avoided, Papyrus began to consider his options carefully. It seemed rude to expect the fish to serve the two skeletons when they had such limited movement abilities. The again, it felt twice as rude to judge the fishes abilities when heâd only just met them. They were probably perfectly good hosts. He just hadnât given them enough of a chance yet.
âAlright! Let us return to the friend isle post-haste! As you said, it would be terrible to let them wait any longer!â
Just about ready to start his march once more, Papyrus stopped mid step. His googly eyes making an appearance in response to the emotional turmoil of his most current dilemma. HowâŠwas he going to justify the suitcase now? Oh no. Think Papyrus. There are no windows to jump out of, so there would need to be massive amounts of cunning involved here. As lazy as Sans was, it was always a challenge to shake him off the trail when things got serious.Â
âUmâŠactuallyâŠ.it has just occurred to me that we simply cannot start watching anything without some confetti! Yes!! How can anyone watch a Mettaton show or movie without having some confetti nearby?! As you said, however, we canât leave our friends alone much longer, so why donât you go meet up with them and stall them with some of your stellar jokes while I get the confetti?!â
Trying very hard not to laugh, Papyrus kept his face as serious as possible. OrâŠshould he have laughed? Either way, he was mostly serious about the necessity of the celebratory paper. Mettaton preferred it when people used glitter, but Papyrus was a skeleton that knew better than to use glitter anywhere other than on food and crafts.
âwhatever you say pap.. you know more about mettaton than i do.â
His own eye lighting up momentarily as he scanned his brothers feature in the dim lighting offered by the electronic section of the store, Sanâs found his pace all but halting as he picked out what he could only imagine were the eyes his brother made during unknown scenarios. Head shaking as he returned back to the dark, he turned away from his brother as he looked towards the opposite end of the store.
âi could get confetti if you want. youâre a lot better with new people after all.â
Skeletal smile all but reaching its peak in the dark, he could only imagine the look on his brothers face when the offer was raised to him. He had a hunch that papyrus wasnât being completely honest with him about going to get confetti so they could watch television with the fish, but who was he to judge?
âiâm just pulling your leg pap. go get what you need, iâll meet you at our new friends. donât get lost, ok?â
