i love preemus. this is a short review of all STUDIO albums, not including compilation, live albums or EPs and Singles. Ok I'll Say It Here, the ol' grizz is AWESOME but I will get on with it:
9: Primus & The Chocolate Factory with the Fungi Ensemble
listen game is game but I didn't really like the album, there were like 2 songs I quite like and the rest was just ok. more primus is still OK because I really like their music but i didn't like it as much as the rest. [6/10]
8: Tales from the Punchbowl
the enhanced cd was really cool, and the songs weren't bad either! i listened to "over the electric grapewine" so many times i think i can't listen to it anymore. southbound pachyderm is also pretty dope, but it does have some weaker songs. [7/10]
7: Brown Album
there's nothing wrong with the brown album, it has some of my favourite songs by primus (fisticuffs, the return of sathington willoughby & over the falls), but i'm ranking them least listened/enjoyed to most [8/10]
6: Pork Soda
as it was with Brown Album, pork soda is fresh, and it has some awesome songs (the pressman, mr. krinkle, the air is getting slippery & welcome to this world) but still i don't nearly listen to this as much as the rest [8/10]
5: Sailing the Seas of Cheese
i think i liked all the songs on this album, with my most liked being american life, fish on and sgt. baker, it's overall pretty cool! [8/10]
4: Green Naugahyde
it sounds pretty damn dope. i love lee van cleef, tragedy's a comin', hennepin crawler, hoinfodaman and moron tv a lot, and the hoinfodaman contest was sure funny learning about. [9/10]
3: Antipop
don't kill me please but i kinda liked the album. i wish there was another music video that wasn't lacquer head. i quite like natural joe and coattails of a dead man. it may be "somewhat directionless" but alas i am the same person who listened to st. anger on repeat for a while :\ [9/10]
2: The Desaturating Seven
for an album it's track count is deceiving, but i really like the idea and the execution. i think i listened to the seven and the storm the most. and also the introes of christopher p. bacon reading the book was funny [9/10]
and now,, for the grandiousse fineale..
1: Frizzle Fry
frizzle fry is such a good album, for their first album they hit the ground fuccking sprinting. to defy the laws of tradition was awesome, the toys go winding down (while it may be repeating a single or something chord progression for the entirety of a song) is fuccking cool, and harold of the rocks really grew on me with repeat listens. and how the hell did i not mention frizzle fry (the song) and mr. knowitall yet. wow. go listen to that album naugh. you have to. here's a link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AccbAu2KmFg&list=PLC80P4gsPr-b2fLjtJcKy9sFAoXk345Y9 [10/10]
