honestly that one photoset gets reposted so often i feel guilty about the fact that people really truly believe the line is from tmpgis, especially when there have been so many great quotes that actually came from the show! it's not fair to the writers of tmpgis or to the writers of glee that it gets misattributed to the extent that it does.

the line is from an episode of glee. a transcript can be read here or here. it is literally the first line after the recap, so you could watch the actual episode yourself, if you'd like. 3x03 Asian F.

the screen cap itself is from the episode where she gets her arms ripped off, yes. it's from episode 11. the top cap is from ~0:31. the bottom cap is from ~0:32. but the dialogue for the scene is not the same line. at all.

the reason we put the glee line on top of the tmpgis caps (which is what we do for every single one of our posts, because the whole point of this blog is to do dumb crossovers between the shows) is to make a joke. later in the episode, deandra is late to the van buren family strategy meeting for no good reason. we just took liberties for when from the episode we grabbed a screencap. maybe since then TMPGIS actually has used that line, but we wouldn't know because we stopped watching. if they did use the line they stole it from glee.

as it is, deandra never said she overslept in the episode. trust us. we're the ones who watched the episode of glee. we're the ones who watched the episode of tmpgis. we're the ones who thought, "hey, these would be fitting to go together, that would make a good joke!" we're the ones who took the screencaps. we're the ones who slapped the quote on top of the images. we know what we're talking about. we got our shit together.
