Also, do not walk close to walls. It will be easier for someone so walk past you and push you against it or corner you.

If your gut is telling you to cross the street or change your path, do it. Don’t risk it. Your body knows.

If you can, buy a large umbrella and walk holding it. Studies say that predators are less likely to attempt an attack on someone that could fight back. Keys around your knuckles is fine but you’ll need to get very close to do damage. Umbrellas are more precise.

Avoid wearing headphones if you are alone on an empty street. Look aware.

Again: Stay. Away. From. Walls.

Entering an uber alone? Call your father (or anyone you trust) and say “hey dad! Yep, I’m almost there, I’m sending you the route.” outloud. Then proceed to send them the route so they can follow the uber drive. This will most likely intimidate the predator.

If you see someone in an uncomfortable or possibly dangerous situation, walk up to them and say “Betty, oh my god, I haven’t seen you in so long!”. If she gets slightly confused, you can whisper and let her know you’re trying to help and that she should follow along. Walk together to another station or away from where you are. The man will most likely not follow. I have done this one 2 times and can be very helpful.

If you are unsure she needs help, you can pass her a note saying something like “hey, I noticed this man beside you is making you uncomfortable. If you’d like help, fake a sneeze right now and I will come up to you and pretend we are friends.” This is a long note, but its an example. Be discrete. If she follows along, proceed with the previous tip. This is helpful when you’re in a crowded train and you notice harassment.

Help your sisters. Trust them. Trust yourself. Be safe.

Just saw a video explaining why putting a key between each finger is more likely to hurt you than them (the keys will just get pushed back into your knuckles). A better way to hold them is to get your longest key and just clench your hand around it, like you’re making a fist. That’ll give you a lot more force and means you can use them in more scenarios (if someone grabs you from behind, you can use the key this way)

1: if you’re reading a book with a large number of pages, you know, those BIG ONES, or with the hard cover, don’t leave it at home and never bring outside. I’m not saying to bring it everywhere, but if you are going to any possible dangerous places alone, bring them, in a purse or even by hand (to show it to everyone). Believe me, if you hit someone with it, it will hurt them!!

We need neurodivergence

A Raising Autism blog

Whenever I hear RFK Jr. speak about autism, fear builds inside me. He talks about ridding the world of children with ASD. He speaks about them as unproductive members of society, harming the general social good. He continues to blame vaccines when the ASD and vaccine connection has been long debunked- even the scientist who did the research has admitted he lied.

Here’s the problem: when RFK Jr. speaks this way, he’s talking about a world without my children. He’s referring to my children as social problems rather than contributors to creative, social and economic thought. RFK clearly doesn’t understand the gifts neurodivergent individuals possess. His comments resonate with eugenics programs in Nazi Germany. He has said that autism “destroys families.” He has said people with autism will “never pay taxes, they’ll never hold a job, they’ll never play baseball, they’ll never write a poem, they’ll never go out on a date.” This is hogwash.

These comments equate human worth with economic and social contribution- taxes!- rather than the inherent value of being human. Paying taxes is hardly the determinant of a life well lived. If, according to the far right’s own religious dogma, God creates humans at inception, then RFK also is basically saying that their god makes mistakes- though he’d say it’s man-made vaccines causing the autism rather than god. His words more than imply that some fish need to be thrown back into the sea.

I cannot imagine a world without autism. Without it, we would not have had Albert Einstein, Bill Gates, Alfred Hitchcock, Steven Spielberg, Charles Darwin, Sir Isaac Newton, Nikola Tesla, animal husbandry pioneer Temple Grandin, outspoken activist Greta Thunburg or even the right’s beloved Elon Musk. Autism has fueled some of the world’s most significant scientific discoveries- the theory of relativity, understanding gravity, the evolution of species and more. Why would we want a world lacking these insights and inventions?

Many autism advocacy groups have spoken out against RFK’s comments. The Autism Society has called his remarks “harmful, misleading and unrealistic.” His words show a woeful ignorance of autism, and they perpetuate stigma and stereotypes. The Autism Society said in a statement:

Autism is a complex developmental disability shaped by genetic, biological, and environmental factors. It is neither a chronic illness nor a contagion, that qualifies harmful language like “epidemic,” and to do so is both inaccurate and stigmatizing. Autistic individuals are human beings who deserve dignity, respect, and equitable civil rights.

RFK’s referring to autism as an “epidemic” implies that autism is a disease to be cured rather than a genetic condition. In fact, RFK has said, “we will know what has caused the Autism epidemic and we’ll be able to eliminate those exposures” in a year. What does “those exposures” mean? Eliminating certain big business environmental practices the right have embraced rather than condemned? Or eliminating humans with these traits? Simply put, RFK’s comments are not based upon facts and reliable science but rather political agenda and quackery.

I’m shocked that we now live in an America which seeks to homogenize its gene pool. A diverse and divergent gene pool is a strong one. When the gene pool is too consistent, nature creates anomalies and inconsistencies. Read about the genetic issues many Royals around the world have had from so much intermarriage. This is because genetic diversity gives all species a better chance for adaptation and survival. New traits are continually infused into the system allowing for resilient combinations and adaptations.

In April, the US Department of Health and Human Services, HHS, promoted the creation of an autism registry. This would create a government list from public and private databases of people with autism. This is terrifying. Not only is it an invasion of privacy but it also singles out a group of people, much like the Nazis did with the Jewish people. What’s next after the registry? A registration number tattooed on the arm of autistic individuals? Wearing an ASD symbol publicly to declare themselves? It’s not far to see the next step being rounding up these individuals and enclosing them in camps “for study.” If you are thinking, “that won’t happen,” I remind you that I never thought due process would be disregarded for American citizens and American nationals when it is literally laid out in our constitution.

The new HHS head, David Geier, a “self-employed geneticist” who has been known for pushing disproven medical claims and for conducting research without the usual controls scientists use to produce reliable research, is out of his depth. He has done tests on thiomersal, the mercury-based preservative upon which the false autism and vaccine claims have been made. It’s worth noting that thiomersal has not been used in most vaccines since 2001, a time period during which autism diagnoses have increased.

These HHS moves have ramifications beyond autism. The same “public and private databases” also detail other conditions which could be singled out for scrutiny and “study” without an individual’s consent. Could this result in lack of insurance coverage or other kinds of exclusion- social and economic? Certainly.

Meanwhile, the largest measles outbreak in the US in decades rages on with no concern from RFK, Jr. or HHS. Where is the public discussion showing a clear relationship between vaccine refusal and the increase in public health risk? Focusing on autism as a singularly significant health issue distracts from the measles outbreak and stigmatizes and jeopardizes the lives of some of the most intelligent and creative people in our society.

I can’t imagine a world without neurodivergence, not only because I’m a mother of girls with autism but because I have witnessed firsthand the advantages of such a difference. My older daughter- I’ve shared before- has the uncanny ability to assemble any structure without directions and to solve problems using multidimensional spacial thinking. My younger daughter is hyper logical and able to control her emotions (in public settings) so that she remains calm and neutral. These talents come as a result of their neurodivergence.

Nazi Germany did not prevail for clear reasons. The search for a perfect race and homogenous gene pool did not square with America’s and Europe’s commitment to diversity and difference. Any discussion of erasing diversity and difference should terrify every American. Why? Because it’s unAmerican, undemocratic and disregards human rights and privacy. If you support these so-called medical inquiries as valid science, then you need to know: your beliefs are closer to Nazi Getmany and fascist rule than they are to the principles upon which America was founded.

Let’s celebrate and appreciate diversity and difference rather than erase it. Our country’s future depends on it.

Also, in the confrontation, instead of it being about how many Patients Da-Jeong misdiagnosed or couldn’t save as a Doctor, it’s Evil Myeong-Hoon explaining how he lost everything:

Also, for sh*ts and giggles, Vince is a relative to Bok-Su’s family (probably Bok-Su’s cousin) in this AU and is at the wedding. After introducing the motive, the Father jokes how Bok-Su got a partner before “a certain relative” despite her tendency to be alone.

Also also, Eddie and Benny still crash the wedding, and because so many people mistook Eddie and Benny as Vincent and Rody, Evil Myeong-Hoon’s dialogue on the two will be: “It’s the Chef and his….. wait, no, wrong pair.”

So basically, it’s what the plot would be like for this swap.

So basically, since Bok-Su is in Myeong-Hoon’s place, Da-Jeong didn’t screw up with the patient and they both become doctors (and eventual Fiancés)

Now how Myeong-Hoon turned evil is by Da-Jeong blaming him like she did Bok-Su after an incident. Because Myeong-Hoon and Da-Jeong originally met when he got hit by Da-Jeong’s car, what happens is that Da-Jeong was driving Myeong-Hoon’s car with him late at night, and her reckless driving got them into an accident where a woman was killed in the crash (hence, there will be a parallel of “Get away from my daughter”), and Da-Jeong managed to pin on Myeong-Hoon to get out of trouble in a panic since it was his car and it was late at night, so there were no witnesses other than the ambulance.

And because of this, he loses his job and his family disowns him, so he pulls a: “You took everything I loved, so I’m gonna take the love of your life and blame it on you.”

I was going to say that the rumor was that Bok-Su cheated, but then my friend Diana said “Maybe or you could have it be something like Da-Jeong is instead hiding something from Bok-su like she has messed up a procedure before and didn’t tell her so when they find Bok-su’s dead body they assume that Bok-su confronted Da-jeong from hearing the rumors and it ended bad” and it was perfect!

Another Idea I had was since in the original game we got to talk to Myeong-Hoon’s family, maybe Evil Myeong-Hoon talks to Bok-Su’s family and finds out they’re obsessive over high social achievements, like being a doctor (hence why Bok-Su is so obsessive over grades, idk, we need more Bok-Su lore)

Scenario I made:

Eddie: “The brides killed each other?!”

Bridesmaid: “I was told that Da-Jeong was hiding a secret that she messed up a procedure, and when Bok-Su came to confront her about it…. Things got messy.” 😢

Benny: “That’s what we get for crashing a wedding.”

Bridesmaid: “What?!”

Eddie: “Gotta go!” grabs Benny’s hand and flees

Also, instead of the wedding being a private pension, it’s a regular wedding venue, so you have to disable the cameras:

(So this paints Da-Jeong as an incompetent doctor who messed up a with a patient, kept it a secret, and when Bok-Su confronted her about it, she killed her in a panic. And to add on, talking to the family about Da-Jeong’s impulsivity under pressure along with how Bok-Su has been helping her with it makes the family concerned about who their daughter is marrying.)

Evil Myeong-Hoon: “How should I know? I’m simply a witness. Who know, maybe she caught wind of you screwing up a procedure.”

Da-Jeong: “What?!”

Evil Myeong-Hoon: “And because you couldn’t soil your perfect reputation if the secret came out,”

Da-Jeong: “Shut up!”

Evil Myeong-Hoon: “You knew how seriously she took patient life, she would never let that slip, so in a panic, you retaliated, like you usually do under stress.”

And since Da-Jeong and Bok-Su remained friends, the Bridesmaids were also Bok-Su’s friends, so they spill the beans to Myeong-Hoon:

B) How Da-Jeong tends to retaliate under pressure

Bridesmaid: “Oh my god! I heard that incident on the news, but I didn’t think it would be because of Da-Jeong’s mistake, no wonder she was so antsy that day!”

Evil Myeong-Hoon: “Must have been hard keeping that secret.”

Bridesmaid: “I know that Da-Jeong tends to fold under pressure, but I didn’t think it would be this bad to the point she messed up a procedure!”

Evil Myeong-Hoon: “Really now?”

Bridesmaid: “And Bok-Su, what would she do if she heard about this, she never let that slide, especially how serious she is about patient’s lives.”

Evil Myeong-Hoon: “Seems like she really takes her job seriously.”

Bridesmaid: “It’s actually to an annoying degree, she’s constantly lectures us about our work, but who can blame her, she became a doctor to save lives.”
