So I woke up and found on my dash the news of Alan Rickman’s passing. David Bowie’s passing was pretty sad for me, but this was seriously a sucker-punch to my stomach. Alan Rickman is one of those actors who anyone would be foolish not to admire – he was clearly amiable, from how everyone spoke of him, and yet he completely disappeared in every role he ever performed in, making them deep, complex, dark, and oftentimes even funny. Most people only know him as Severus Snape, and it clearly is his best-known role, but I also remember how much I laughed at him in Dogma and Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, sighed after him in Sense and Sensibility, and even rooted for him to get a razor blade to the throat in Sweeney Todd. In Harry Potter, one of his first lines was that he could teach his students “how to bewitch the mind and ensnare the senses.” Well, Alan, I must say…with every performance you ever gave, you did just that. You left us all hanging on every word you ever said, hungering for more. And now there’s no more coming, and that is the saddest part of all. We will never see you perform on this earth again. Please, if there are angels, may they take good care of the newest addition to their ranks. If nothing else, this guy has played an angel, and he won’t take any bull.
Alan…you will be sincerely missed. Thank you for everything.
GO FUCK YOURSELF CANCER!

Being gay is natural? Okay.
You have three islands. Divide them into groups of one. The straight island, the gay island, and the lesbian island. The straight island is going to reproduce and keep going strong for millions of generations to come. The gay and lesbian islands will both wipe out in not even one century. This isn’t just about religion or morals, it’s just simple common sense. Being gay is unnatural, and not just because God said so, but because you yourself wouldn’t even be born without a REAL natural man and woman. And no, there is no such thing as a lesbian bone marrow “thing” to have children. That’s a biased fact that came from a lesbian scientist who has false opinions. If it’s not a real penis or vagina, then it’s fucking false and you’re just opinionated by dumb facts. I’m done here. Read over what I said and if you still think that being gay is normal and natural, then I hope you achieve some common sense one day. Bye
Where is this gay island located.. asking for a friend
I just have SO MANY questions. Why were we all separated onto different islands? Did the government sanction this? If so, why? Why didn’t we revolt against this tyrannical government? Where are these islands? How were they chosen? Are the continents of the world abandoned? What kind of resources are on each island? Are they the same or different? Does each island have a right to form its own government or does the government that segregated us still rule? If so, what island do they rule from and how do they communicate with the other two islands? If they can communicate with the other two islands, can all three islands communicate with each other? If the straight people keep reproducing, won’t their island become overpopulated and their resources depleted? Islands only have so much space right? Do straight people stop having gay kids? Isn’t it a fact that, to date, straight people are the largest manufacturers of gay kids? If a gay kid is born on straight island, do they get sent to their appropriate island? Wouldn’t that aid in the re-population of gay and lesbian island? What about people who are attracted to more than one gender? Are they just lost at sea, floating aimlessly? Is the ocean full of listless pansexuals, floating nowhere? Or are they trapped in some sort of purgatory because they don’t fit on any one island? Are there trees on lesbian island? Is it conceivable that if there were, a large group of lesbians could build a boat? Have you ever seen lesbians around timber? If they built a boat, could they travel to gay island? How far apart are the islands? If they could travel to gay island, would they be able to collect semen, return to lesbian island, and repopulate the island? Would they be able to send some of those children to gay island? Do trans people exist in this world? If so, wouldn’t they be able to aid in repopulation? If the lesbians decided to declare war on the heterosexuals, would they be able to reach their island? On the way to heterosexual island, could the lesbians pick up the gays and scoop the floating bisexuals from the sea? If so, would they all be able to go and attack heterosexual island together, wiping out its people’s, stealing its children and taking all its resources? Does this fantasy world get you off at night? Please write back soon!
Speaking up from the pansexual archipelago: I too have these questions
Checking in from bisexual bay: The boats are nearly complete and are equipped with a special invisibility function. We attack at dawn
Fuck the questions, lemme on that boat, I’m coming with you
*random ace just floating away into the sky like a balloon*
I am so here for an asexual sky nation. We live in floating cities and master the wind currents. Newly minted ace youths are sent up to us in baskets suspended under hot air balloons. We breed giant birds to bear us through the skies, or else build ourselves wings and gliders to fly in their midst. The only land we know are the tallest mountain peaks and the world is a bright blue gem spreading out beneath us.
(And we will of course be providing air support for the impending attack on Straight Island)
OP’s nasty-ass post got turned into a goddamn sci-fi dystopian adventure and I’m so here for it.

“What you’ve given us is more than money. It’s friendship. When you’re in a battle against an enemy so much bigger, so much stronger than you, well, to find out you had a friend you never knew existed, well, that’s the best feeling in the world. So, thank you.”
I think I’m not the only one feeling this weird trapped feeling today, feeling sick and overwhelmed but unable to stop reading, reblogging. Trying to understand when there is nothing to understand.
I live in the middle of it. 19 people died in front of the bar I go drinking twice a week, and my friend the barmaid was hidden behind the bar for two hours. One of my best friend lives rue Bichat and heard the gunfire from his window. I know a family trapped in stade de France. I should have been drinking in Republique at 8PM yesterday, where they started shooting.
Yeah I get it. We are freaking out.
But please, stop spreading only the bad stuff. Stop the pictures and videos of bodies in the street, of yelling and blood. Stop talking about refugee’s hate, and islamophobia.
Talk more about the people that yelled in the street the number of the code to their flat when victims where running everywhere to bring them to safety. The man that opened the window of his flat to victims of the Bataclan stranded on the roof.
Talk about the man that went back to help a stranger pregnant woman, and the kid that was carried to safety by a total stranger worried he could be trampled by the crowd.
Talk about the social media, the hashtag #porteouverte to get people out of the street and #voyageavecmoi to help people afraid to travel alone because of their religion/skin color.
Talk about the taxis that stayed in the street, bringing people home for free all night, and the bus drivers that helped evacuate the Bataclan.
The people crowding the blood centers, so much that Paris now has to send them back home.
The people in their home, terrified and in shock, and only waiting for the possibility to crowd the street and show them that we are afraid but not broken, and together.
There are handfuls of people that will take out of this tragedy all the bad lessons, the wrong evidences.
But please don’t talk about them. Talk about the fraternity and the love of the scared, scarred, ones in Paris. Because we are so many, and we won’t give up
Reblog if you think sign language should be taught as a language in schools.
How people treat sexual orientation, as explained with furniture.
Heterosexuality is a couch. Nobody even bats an eye if you keep it in the living room for everyone to see–it’s simply expected. I mean, where the hell else would you keep it? Hidden in a bedroom? No, that would be weird.
Homosexuality is a bed. Having a bed in a public room is considered weird and gross–you’re expected to keep it in private bedroom you close the door to before anyone else comes over. Because even though there are a million and one things someone can do sitting on a bed that aren’t sexual (and plenty of ways to have sex on a couch), the first and foremost thing anyone associates beds with is sex.
Bisexuality is a Western-style futon. Sometimes it functions like a couch, sometimes it functions like a bed, but whichever position it’s in at the moment, it’s still a goddamn futon. People who want to use it as a couch give you shit for not having a real couch; people who want to use it as a bed give you shit for not having a real bed. It’s acceptable in your living room, but only if you make extra certain to put it in couch position and hide the sheets before company comes over. Otherwise, you’d better hide it in a guest room.
Asexuality is a table. No matter how many times you tell people it’s not meant to be sat on, dickheads with no manners will try to park their nasty asses on it anyway.
what the hell are we doing? they would never have known we were here if it wasn’t for this article. do you know how many people read this paper? this is our chance to do something spectacular! we could never drum up this kind of publicity in a million years!

fascinating how every white mass shooter’s actions must be a manifestation of mental illness when most people with mental illnesses are not violent, and most violent acts are not committed by mentally ill people. actually, people with severe mental illnesses are 11 times more likely to be victims of violent crime than the general population.
this horrific murder of nine black people inside a black church is an antiblack hate crime, an act of terrorism planned and executed because of racism and hate. this has nothing to do with mental illness, and to say otherwise simultaneously ignores the virulent and violent racism that causes deaths every day and frames mentally ill people as dangerous, rather than in danger.
