The planet Venus was once a beautiful, oxygenated, oceanic world, covered in small land masses filled with rivers and valleys and forests and deserts and tundras and every sort of biome imaginable. This ancient planet would look very familiar to us Earth humans, especially because of its animals, which, although strange and magnificent, are very similar to the animals we know today. "Neena is the ship's doctor and potions master. She's lived a long, strange, life, and apparently was run out of her town for practicing witchcraft. Well, if she's a witch, then she's the nicest witch I've ever met. Once, when we boarded an enemy ship, I got shot through the arm with a crossbow quarrel. I thought I was a goner, but Neena took out the arrowhead and stitched me up, and within a week I could fight again. Sometimes, when the seas are stormy, she'll sing me to sleep."

Osrick

Scourge of the Sea by Jotaká

Osrick doesn't exist, or, at least, he isn't supposed to. He only shows up at night, and only when the weather's bad. I've seen him twice, Arcade has seen him six times, and Cardenio has seen Osrick the Ghost over 100 times. Neena tells me that Osrick is the ghost of a man who was drowned many, many years ago, and he haunts our ship because we aren't afraid of death. She says we should be proud to have him aboard, because ghosts only haunt those who are worthy.
