Can someone with more brain then me figure out the symbolism of the cat.
Bears carelessness lead to her death. It was likely his grandma’s cat. He isn’t that sad about it. He puts it in a plastic bag and scrubs the place she died clean. But then wish Nikki brings her back. Sets up a memorial for her. It is for Bear but its more care for the cat then he had.
And then she cooks it. Do you think that was the real Nikki trying to sneak past wish Nikki since it came with the pictures. Convincing her is a good idea to do this so Bear could know its not really her.
The tragedy is that he knew. Nikki thought he didn’t but he knew. She spend all those precious moments that she was in control trying to tell him thinking he would help but he already knew.

every so often i remember how awesome the modern interconnected multicultural world is. i grew up getting to hear fairy tales from all over the world. africa, asia, europe, america. everywhere in between. i can have bagels for breakfast, curry for lunch, and ramen for dinner without even leaving the city limits. music and art and philosophy and technology that originated thousands of miles and years apart from eachother have come together and interwoven into something greater than the sum of its parts. its hard not fall into despair when thinking about the horrors but god. god the wonders.
Also, please do not listen to how people talk about cover letters on this site. Cover letters are important, and in many industries you can be damn sure they'll be read. And no, they're not 'fanfic about working in your office', or just re-stating the resume contents in a fancier guise. If you treat them like that, then of course they're not doing much for you. That makes you sound like a syncophantic windbag, and it's not doing anything else to help.
I was trained in the dark arts of the cover letter by my mother, who is a hiring manager. And her training has paid off: I've been consistently told my cover letters are excellent. Let me pass on the wisdom.
The job of a cover letter is to give a prospective employer strictly more information than is on the resume. This is where you take the resume contents and put them into context. You look at the job requirements (you are looking at the job requirements before applying, right?) and look at your resume and ask the question (in your head) "why would a person think this candidate would be good for this job?" and your cover letter is the answer to that question. If you don't answer that question, the hiring manager is going to have to do it themselves, and you have way more information to work with than they do.
This is especially important if you're moving from one industry to another, because then the relevant connections aren't obvious. It's also very important if you're overqualified, because then you can use the letter to say "I know it looks like this job would be too entry-level for me, but I'm interested to pursue it for reasons x, y, and z". You can also use this space to explain away something that might otherwise be disqualifying, like job-hopping or a long break in employment. The tone to strike here is always matter-of-fact and constrained to topic - don't go into detail about health stuff or personal tragedy, just tell them what they need to hear: that this period of your resume was affected by [bad thing] but that it's now in the past and you're looking forward to the next chapter. Remember, one of the things they're trying to learn is whether you'd be content in this role, or whether you'd be miserable and leave after 2 months, which would force them to do all the work of hiring again. You're trying to establish that you will fit right in and not cause problems. Knowing what drew you to this job in particular (and don't just say 'money', that's true for everyone) helps with that.
And the other mistake? Everyone writes cover letters that are too long. One page is fine. Two is the absolute maximum, and that's if you have a lot of specific things to say. It's a waste of your time and theirs to pad it out with fluff. Of my two most recent successful cover letters (i.e. jobs for which I was interviewed) one was 390 words and the other was 550. That's the length of this post. How long did it take me to write this post? About 15 minutes to write, 5 to proof and edit. That's how long you should be spending on a cover letter, maximum.
Victor Frankenstein after achieving the impossible and building a fucking person from scraps of the dead: Oh god, ew, ew it's ugly! Yucky! Yucky! Gross! Ew! Ew! Yucky! Yucky! Gross! Ew!
Sanji having a broken arm needs help with cooking and what not. He forbids basically everyone but Usopp and Chopper and maybe Brook from helping, but Robin helps out anyway despite his protests. Then one day, Zoro offers his help since Usopp was helping Franky, Chopper and Brook were sleeping (the former because he was pouring over new medical books; the latter because he has first watch that night, and wanted to get in a nap.), and he knew while the cook appreciated Robin's help, he was not happy about her doing anything he should be able to do for her instead. So unless he wanted Luffy's help, Zoro was his only option. Maybe he makes Sanji sit down, and he serves the food instead? Making sure to serve the ladies first before Sanji bitches about it.
How to show loneliness in a character rather than tell it:
lots of internal monologue and even dialogue with oneself
social awkwardness
despite longing for connection, avoiding it because they are not used to it
or: seeking connection anywhere they can, even in the tiny interactions with employees and strangers
making their home a very comforting space since they spend so much time in it
not feeling invited to activities unless explicitly told they are, and even then doubting it
not even considering the possibility of talking to someone
feeling warmth in their chest after a good talk with someone, only for it to twist into dread and doubt later on
[Prompt Calender: June 13th, Loneliness Awareness Week]
Top tier doomed dynamic is the one who is devoted to duty before all else x the one who started out the same but has since shifted their focus and knows they can never admit it. You have become my sole duty. I will try to save your life even when you won't, and I know you will hate me for it. If you knew how deep my love runs, you would see it as betrayal. Please forgive me for ruining all you ever worked for, but I cannot lose you.
In honour of opla, friendly reminder that Sanji and Nami remind each other of their respective mothers.
i think we should start openly mocking male creatives who can't figure out how to write women. like actually i think it's embarrassing that it took elliot page transitioning for christopher nolan to give him a good role. why did it take like ten years to get the first female lead in a marvel movie? why is it a Known Fact that stephen king can't write women? why is 50% of the population omitted from large ensemble works? i asked my friend to name a movie directed by a man with a majority female cast and he said ghostbusters 2016. ghostbusters. ghostbusters. g
When Zoro and Sanji get married Zoro doesnt use Sanjis actual name any more often than before. He does however add "husband" to his rotation of nicknames
A devil fruit user hits the crew and scrambles them all up. It doesnt make them switch bodies. It doesnt make them swap personalities.
It makes them switch vices
So now Luffy is coughing up a lung and making disgusted faces as he chain smokes Sanjis cigarettes.
Chopper giggles as he sways, bottle of rum in his hoof, happily telling Luffy that hes going to scold him for smoking.
Robin well. Robin wants to eat. She wants to eat everything. She wants to eat meat.
Too bad Sanjis busy making all kinds of deserts. Cotton candy, strawberry cake, a variety of chocolates. Not a balanced meal at all, and he is burning through their sugar supply quicker than he would like, but thats not important when theres ice cream sundaes to be had!
Nami is sitting back, watching Sanji work as she tells him all about the time she single handedly saved an entire village from a giant man eating donut. They gave her a medal and put up a statue of her - or so she says
Usopp would probably love to be listening to Namis story. He would enjoy it far more than this book from Robins collection. Hes developing new fears with each page he turns. He lets out a yelp every so often, but he cant seem to put the book down.
Zoro is the only one missing all of the chaos. Hes too busy bellow deck counting all of their money. He would make fun of Nami for this being her main vice - but he finds the act of counting things is actually pretty peaceful. Too bad Nami will later charge him just for touching their gold without her permission.
So, a pretty normal wednesday for the chaotic crew.
Zoro, injured once again, was told to sleep on his side to help him heal better. But he was having a hard time of it. He wasnt having a great time with it. He wasnt used to sleeping on his side for one. But it also made him just plain uncomfortable to leave his back so exposed at such a vulnerable time as when he was asleep.
So Sanji, being a good crewmate - and for absolutely no other reason - curled up behind Zoro to protect his back.
And if they curled up closer in the night, legs entertwined, an arm thrown over Zoros waist, being held in place by the swordsman himself, well, that was completely unintentional and really, no ones fault.
They were just following doctors orders
Something neuroscience-y that helps with prose: attention is selective. A character will not notice everything in a room. They will notice what matters to their goal, fear, desire, training, wound, or obsession. A jealous character notices hands. a hungry character notices food. A soldier notices exits. A lonely character notices pairs. Description becomes character when attention has a bias.
