One of your parents shouldn't have gotten with the other. It depends at what age they met. If they were 30 and 37, that's fine.
My mother was almost 18 when she was arrested by a cop for vandalism, that in the future became my and my sister's feather, so that's not really that hard to imagine something like this.
And people mostly ship Lawlu after the timeskip, so that's actually fine and legal

Luffy is 7 (seven!!) years younger than Law. That's a whole lot of life experience that is lacking. Imagine Luffy being Law's age. He will have gone on so many more adventures and become so much more powerful during this time. It's that experience that he lacks and somehow people cling to that, it's not healthy.

My parents married each other because they LOVE each other. And they are damn good parents I should say, that still together after 20 years, still LOVING.
