The amount of nonblack tadc fans I’ve seen on Twitter jumping to defend the tadc cast members who joked and giggled about saying the n slur on accident when they were fully grown by saying “it was years ago and they were both only 231!1!1!1! Stupid n- I mean *AMERICANS* this is just drama and you’re cancelling an innocent artist 🥺 we forgive you” is the craziest thing in the world to me. Like buddy this is not your apology to forgive. Please be quiet. Nobody cares if this is your favorite cartoon in the world or if you’re a mega die hard stan for the characters. You’re not black so stay out of black issues. Hello. This show cannot be this good for y’all to be acting like you don’t have a lick of common sense or decency.
Like I’m sorry but if you’re repeatedly doing this over and over, friends with people who enjoy doing this and are still willing to employ them and keep them in your inner circle and defend them that’s.. weird. Full stop. It’s hard to believe it as a “sincere mistake” if you keep over the course of your life making the jokes and downplay your black fans genuine concerns or disappointment. It costs zero dollars to not be racist or enable/being pals and actively collaborating willingly on creative projects with people who claim that having a racist phase is normal. Please do background checks. Holy shit.
Forwarded this to a predominantly not black friendgroup and the conversation got shut down immediately as “petty drama” and then people started talking about how everyone should just go outside instead. I’m tired boss
As a white person (lady) myself I don't know why it's so hard for other white people (mostly men) to be normal
