i’ll never forget how i felt last year. i was literally screaming when the announcers said the score peng peng needed to win the title for ucla cause i thought ucla had 0 chance after their vault rotation and then peng peng’s 10s on bars and beam had me 😭😭😭 there’s nothing better than ur faves winning in such close competitions and watching it as it happens. like that feeling for me was kohei 2016 aa, v/m 2018 olympics, ucla 2018 ncaa champs

I saw someone say that Peng’s slip case on her series and that she took a step and danced out of it but she clearly sticks it, pauses for a split second and then danced out of it. There’s been some comments and tweets that some LSU gymnasts have liked about Katelyn not deserving her floor title because she leaps or dances out of her passes but it’s in the code and what she does is super hard anyway so they’re just being salty.

LMAO THAT’S SUCH A REACH SHE NOT ONLY STICKS IT BUT LOOK AT HOW UPRIGHT SHE IS LIKE THAT IS CONTROLLED. whomstever is complaining needs to get the fuck over ucla winning like none of the shit they say is going to change the results so go live your life be productive pet a dog train harder idk!

UCLA CHAMPS

Y’all, I just wanna say how incredible that team is. So many people have overcome alot in their careers.

From Peng’s devastating injuries sidelining her for two years, to Maddie Kocian battling injuries seemingly every year but always coming up clutch in a team final, to Gracie Kramer rocking floor this year after having such a hard time on the event, Kyla coming in this year stronger than ever, to Katelyn Ohashi truly falling in love with the sport again and having her best year to date, to Brielle Nguyen coming in and snagging a spot in THAT beam lineup and hitting when they needed her, Fish after injuries kept her from reaching her peak last year to become an awesome floor and vault contributor, Nia, Janay, the Glenns killing it after a redshirt year and the list goes on and on and on.

The coaches too, ESPECIALLY Jordyn (girl has had a roller coaster of a year). They all knew they needed to change to put themselves in a position to make a real run at a title, and they made it possible.

It was a truly amazing display of sport and an example of never giving until the final routine (or second, or out or play).

THIS IS WHY WE LOVE SPORTS.
