Time had passed and it was currently five. Hearing a knock at the door, he opened to see his partner, “Glad to see you’re on time, come in,”

Nine smiled a little when the door opened. “Of course. My day technically just starts at this time. Or night, whatever.”

“Same here but dawn is when I'm most awake,” Theo replied, walking towards the desk. “Being a child of Eos and all,”

Nine nodded, putting his stuff in his backpack. “Laters, babe,” he joked as he stood up.

“You’re in a safe place, away from harm,” Theo replied. “The fact people care about you, that you’re a kind and bright girl; Haven, you shouldn’t put yourself down all the time, it isn’t healthy for your mind,”

“You promise you won’t leave me?” Uncertainty ran in her voice.

Theo wrapped the girl with her arms, pulling her close, “You feel like the world’s against you. I know how that feels; being the child of a titan attracts monsters more and I feel the whole world has something against me but I try and focus on the positives,”

“What positives!” Haven cried out, her arms whipping out around her.

“I can the first half, I know quite abit about the Iliad,” He said, their task was to be on the Iliad and the Odyessy. Theo, being quite the bookworm, had read them prior to the assignment. “Seeing as I’ve read it multiple times,”

Nine nodded. “Sure. I`ll do the rest then, though I`ve only read it twice. Just check my work after if it`s right.”

“Yeah.” Nine looked at the list. “Sure. What would you take? I`m fine with either.”

He’d been lucky to grab a good table near the back, and until then no one had come near the remaining five chairs around the round table. “The rest of the table is free, if you want to sit.“ He said, glancing around them. “I promise not to bug you too much.” He knew he could be a little full on at times, but he’s lonely and he meant well.

“Thank you,” Theo responded, placing his English books of the table and opening one up to finish his assignment. “It's fine, I’ve almost done my English essay anyways,”

“I know whats it like to feel as though ya nothing,” Theo comforted the girl. “I know its hard, is their reason why you feel like this?”

“Everyone left me. I don’t have any friends. No one cares about me but my parents. They won’t tell me anything about my past. And now I’ve started to get hate online.”

“How is it fair that I can read Greek without a single class on the language, but I can’t do basic algebra after four years? They’re both just jumbled nonsense, so if my brain could process it the same way that would be great, and totally keep me from setting this textbook on fire.” Sung replied, crinkling his nose up before slamming the textbook shut and letting out a long defeated sigh. “Do you happen to have a lighter?”

Theo looked at the boy, “Sorry, I don’t have one on me. Also don’t think setting a textbook on fire is permitted or reasonable,”

“Pretty much.” He shrugged a little. “Yeah, you are. You should take care of them before it`s too late.”

“Everyone here’s been through something because apparently demigods can’t have great lives,” Theo added. “It’s great here. Everyone’s accepting and understanding, which is amazing because most of the outside world isn’t,” He really loved it here, this place was one of his favourites from his dorm to the library. 

“Apparently not,” Miles replied, shrugging his shoulders ― smile unfailing. “It’s pretty cool, I have to admit. Even if the cafeteria food is a little too expansive, if you get what I mean.”
