MOTM THEORY HERE WE GOOOOOO "bendy may or may not be connected to the celestials" theory made by me :)
As we know of now Bendy is one of the ONLY People that can see and read the map(i have a small theory that it might change due to shelly's appearance but it's not relevant now) The map itself is stated to be magic multiple times by nort and fly or The characters themselfs.
Now how does that coerrelates to Bendy and his presumed connection to the celestials?
In this...essey? Text? No idea i will go through a few points in no particular order:
- Bendy's favorite colour
-comic backstory (or what we know of it)
- The demons/devils, their treatment in toontown and some specific scenes
- the map itself and the celestials.
Let's start with the celestials. There's not much known about them at this point. They are of unknown origin, they are made from ink and magic, created an empire out of magic that created them and created life using ichor or "god's blood". The celestials are usually refered to in golden letters and kind of like gods in toon Town. They had their own army which fought with the creatures created by the blot. Yen Sid (who created the ink machine ) is refered to as a "celestial wizard". They disasambled the machine due to the toon's greed possibly, making the map to the machine only aviable to selected few and disappeared to god knows where
Yeah it's not nothing but truly not enough to talk about the celestials themselfs.
(There's also a possiblility of chalice being a celestial or at least connected to them in some way but frankly that's just a guess tho).
The most important question here is what determines a person to be able to see the map? Or what qualities did the celsetial have in mind?
As of now we have no other person aside from bendy who can read the map (exept for ghost cuphead but i have no idea what could that suggest and we know he can see the brightness of the map we are unsure if he can read it so for now i won't take that into consideration because well WE NEED MORE LOREEEE)
What does bendy bave that other toons don't that could relate to him being able to see the map.
1. He has the blot (but i don't personlly think that's the case it might be but less likely )
We know that demons are really rare in toon Town and possibly whole inkwell itself, face a lot of harmfull sterotypes and racism.
My current theory is because of Mickey. Now here me out:
We know that Mickey was the mayor of toon Town for a LONG time.
We also know he's one of the "greedy toons" that wanted the ink machine for themselfs and was there for it's creation.
He is very possesive and desperate for the map. He also seems to have a dislike for demons. Plus it's very interesting how after the map got stolen Mickey didn't wish for Bendy's capture but his death it could be so he wouldn't tell anyone else about the map but As stated in the comic the map is BLANK for those who can't see it so the capture would've been enough. Not many would believe a demon that the blank piece of paper is magic and leads to something that's suppoused to be nothing more then a myth. So why murder?
Unless demons are able to see the map and use the ink machine. And who else is connected to the map and the ink machine? The celestials.
-Bendy's favorite colour/he's most Associated with.
I know how weird that sounds but it's important i promise.
Nort and fly both stated that EVERYTHING is intentional. Every movement every piece of dialogue now what colour is Associated with bendy and is stated As his favorite?
Now what color is Associated with the celestials?
Yellow. As i said because the comic is hand drawn and nort and fly SAID so, EVERYTHING
From expressions to movements ,dialogue COLORS is intentional.
Bendy can see the map is a highly hated and discriminated race and just happens to be Associated and like the color that is ALSO Associated with the celestials? That's too suspicious to not be intentional.
-Demons treatment in toon Town and inkwell.Â
I think i covered it nicely here in ealier points but to summrise:
- Demons are a generally hated and discriminated race and we've seen two People for now that have not acted or used harmfull stereotypes against them who isn't a demon and that is Boris (Bendy's brother) and
Felix(for some unknown reason?)
So racism is usually created through years of hatred to make one race feel more powerfull then the other so for power and control. Now why would that be the case for demons? Well in my personal opinion it's because of their connection to celestials. Now how one relates to the other? Well as i mentioned before it's because of the ink machine or more like their possible ability to see the map. That alone is a threat both to Mickey's (and the stars themselfs) position and his want of making people believe that the ink machine is a myth. If he as the mayor states that the ink machine and the map is a myth and there will be a group of others who have physical proof of that statement being false then it causes a threat to Mickey's lie and therfore his position as the mayor.
Now what do you do with threats ? Get rid of them. As the mayor and most importantly a TRUSTED FIGURE anything Mickey says would sound believable to most so spreading "small" lies and stereotypes about the demons is an easy way for others to spin their own versions of them and boom problem solved. Especially since it's implied there's something akin to christianity in the MOTM verse.
Nuns are the names of women who vow to dedicate their life to a religious service, even though these women are in most types of religions the term "nun" is mostly if not only used in christianity. We don't know the whole religion system in myth but based on that, we can safely assume it's a religion based or simillar to christianity.
And i think we all know how devils and demons are depicted in christianity...
So it's safe to say that demons probably already a pretty bad reputation among People so making people hate and distrust them would be easy for as influential person as Mickey.
- There's a high possiblity that Bendy (and demons themselfs) are connect to the celestials due to the ability to see the map and Bendy's color and a number of other things.
