I would like to inform you that this
Is the oriented aroace flag. For those who don’t know, I’m pan aroace.
I know it’s confusing to some people how somebody can be aroace but also have another orientation, so I’ll do my best to explain it.
So for this description I’m gonna first define some types of attraction. Platonic, you probably already know, it’s like friendship attraction. Aesthetic is the way you look at something pretty, like a sunset for instance, and queerplatonic, a subset of platonic, which is like wanting a very strong emotional bond with somebody, but one that isn’t romantic
Now that I’ve done some defining, let’s get to the explaining! The separate Special Orientation that some people use as well as aroace, is generally used to describe either aesthetic or qp attraction, or both. For instance, let’s say Theresa feels much stronger aesthetic attraction to girls, she might call herself a gay aroace, or an aroace lesbian.
Since we don’t get all the feelings we tend to notice the feelings we do have more, and we’ve created ways to categorize them.
Anyways that’s all, sorry for the long post, I’ve just seen a lot of people saying they don’t know what it is so I figured, hey, might as well do an explanation you know?
