Kurt: Hi Blaine! Merry Christmas!
Blaine: Oh, hello! Merry Christmas, Kurt!
Contrived Invitation
Kurt: Kurt nodded. "Okay. I'm sure I'll figure something out. I'll bring that suit we got when we went to your work event last year," he told Blaine with a grin. He nodded and chuckled when Blaine asked for a hot chocolate. "Of course you can have one, B," he said. He went up to the cash register and got himself a coffee and a hot chocolate for Blaine before going back to their table. "There you go," he said, passing Blaine his drink before starting to put a few sugar packets in his.
Blaine: "That's a good idea! I should do that too actually because where my parents eat out is usually a suit and tie kind of place." Blaine agreed. "Thank you." Blaine called after Kurt as he walked away before he finished off the rest of his coffee and set it to the side to make room for his hot chocolate. Kurt came with his cup and Blaine took a sip, but quickly took it away from his mouth and pouting his lips. "Shit." he began, "S'hot" he said, biting his lips together. When he'd recovered and Kurt had finished with a the preparations of his drink, Blaine asked Kurt, "Shall we drink and walk?" motioning to outside.
Contrived Invitation
Kurt: "Hey. Don't you ever think that you don't do anything for me. You're my best friend and you always make me smile or laugh. You just generally make me happy," Kurt told Blaine with a smile, running his thumb over the back of his hand. He nodded as Blaine told him about his parents. "Okay," he said. "I'm thinking neutral colours might be better, though," he said, tapping his chin. "I'm gonna get more coffee. Do you want any more?"
Blaine: Blaine just rolled his eyes fondly with a grin on his face when Kurt comforted him. "You make me happy, too." he replied, softly with a tilt of his head. "I honestly don't know." Blaine confessed. "You always look good so I'd say just pick something you'd wear on a work day and maybe bring something a little fancier in case we go out to dinner... " he suggested. When Kurt asked about coffee, Blaine let go of the other's hand to allow him to get up, "Um, I might go for a hot chocolate?" he asked squinting with a smile as if asking Kurt.
Contrived Invitation
Kurt: Kurt blushed slightly at Blaine. "You're sweet too, Blaine," Kurt told him, squeezing his hand harder. "So... when are we going?" he asked happily. "And what do you think I should wear? Your parents are fancier people, aren't they?"
Blaine: "Yeah, but you're /so/ sweet. I mean, you do more for me than I do for you and I just want you to know I really appreciate it." Blaine explained, resting his chin in the palm of his hand, holding Kurt's hand with his other. Blaine grinned widely when Kurt began thinking of what to wear, of course that's the first thing Kurt thought of. "I suppose, but I don't think you should worry about not looking fancy, you always look good." He told Kurt, honestly.
Contrived Invitation
Kurt: Kurt laughed when Blaine talked about his sister. "I'll make sure to do up my hair extra-high for her, then," he said with a smile. He nodded at Blaine's answer and reached a hand out to take Blaine's in his own. "It's okay," he told him softly. "I just wanted to know so that I wouldn't say anything you don't want me to in front of them," he told him. "It'll all be alright, B. Don't worry. And you don't have to tell them until you're ready," he added, trying to reassure him.
Blaine: Blaine couldn't stop his grin when Kurt talking about doing his hair high just for Ruby. Just something so simple like that was so sweet and just so Kurt. Blaine's thumb automatically began rubbing over Kurt's knuckles when the other took his hand, he nodded softly, looking down at their hands together and Blaine realised then that that was the first time they'd done something couple-y in public and Blaine hadn't gotten nervous about it being in public. He nodded with a smile on his face, looking to Kurt fondly. "Yeah. Yeah, no, of course. You're so sweet." he told Kurt.
Contrived Invitation
Kurt: Kurt smiled happily when Blaine mentioned his younger sister. "Oh. That sounds nice. I really am excited to meet your sister," he said happily. He bit his lip as a thought came into his mind. He wasn't sure if he should ask Blaine or not, but he figured it would be for the best if he did, especially since he wouldn't want to blurt out anything he wasn't supposed to while he was there. "So... have you, um... told your parents that you're gay?" he asked, lowering his voice slightly.
Blaine: "Oh believe me, she's /really/ excited to meet you, too. I told her you did your hair in a quiff but she didn't understand so I said it stands up on top of your head and I think that's what she's most excited about seeing." he laughed, while rolling his eyes, fondly, taking a drink of his coffee. Blaine's pouted his lips when Kurt brought up coming out to his parents and Blaine felt his stomach flip. He simply shook his head quickly, looking down while messing with the handle of his mug. "Nope." he said quietly after a second.
Contrived Invitation
Kurt: Kurt hummed. "Well, yeah, of course. If you want me to go with you, I will," he said with a smile. "But how come your mother bought my ticket? She didn't have to," he said to Blaine, taking a sip of his coffee.
Blaine: Blaine's lips parted, in a sort of dazed shock. "I- yeah! Yeah I do, of course I want you to come with me." he insisted, with a nod. "Of course I do." he echoed. Blaine had calmed a little bit then and he didn't feel like it was such a stupid question because Kurt had actually said yes. He rolled his eyes at himself when Kurt asked why his mother bought him a ticket. "Well, I might have mentioned you to Ruby on the phone and she wants to meet you." he smiled, embarrassed, lifting his cup to his mouth for something to do.
Contrived Invitation
Kurt: Kurt chuckled. "It's not boring, B. Not at all," he told him with a soft smile. Once Blaine spoke, he gave him a quizzical expression. "Me? Why me?" he asked. It was only after he spoke that he realized his tone might have sounded slightly judgmental. "I mean... I would be delighted to go home with you this weekend, Blaine. It would be amazing. But why did your mother book a ticket for me?" he asked him.
Blaine: Blaine squeezed his lips together at the expression on Kurt's face. This was stupid, he shouldn't have said anything. Kurt was questioning why him and it wasn't until Blaine had asked the question had he realised how out of the blue it was but then Kurt said he'd be delighted to go and it was as if that was all he heard. "I- ... what? You want to come?" he asked, amazed.
Contrived Invitation
Kurt: Kurt smiled and flipped his notebook shut as Blaine sat down and grinned. "I did! I hope it's the one you liked. Medium drip, right?" he asked, taking a sip of his own coffee. He could tell that Blaine looked kind of nervous, so he tried to give him as warm a smile as he could. "So, what did you want to talk about? Is everything alright?"
Blaine: Blaine nodded with a fond smile. "That's me. Medium drip. Just regular old coffee." he explained , sliding his cup towards him a bit. "Oh, yeah." Blaine said as if he'd forgotten while emptying the contents of his second sugar scatchet into his coffee before putting the lid back on and taking a sip. The whole time Blaine avoided looking up at Kurt, he was putting off talking about it but he hoped it looked more like he was thinking something through. He set his cup down and gave a deep breath. "Well, my mother has booked me a plane ticket to come home for this weekend!" he explained, bittersweet. "And she's also booked one for you." he nodded, looking up at Kurt with his head tilted down, unsure of what Kurt's reaction.
Contrived Invitation
Kurt: Kurt was waiting at the coffee shop, the one he and Blaine had met up at all those months ago. They'd agreed to meet for coffee, since Blaine had said he wanted to talk to Kurt about something. Kurt had gotten coffees for the both of them and was sketching designs in his book when he saw Blaine walk in. "Hey," he told him with a smile.
Blaine: Blaine had butterflies in his stomach with the thought of what he had to say to Kurt. Blaine had to invite Kurt, his friend, home with him because his parents had thought it was a great idea and had already paid for two tickets, thinking Kurt was just Blaine's best friend. But Kurt coming home with Blaine meant Kurt would meet his parents, which wouldn't be such a big deal if Blaine and Kurt were actually just best friends, however, they weren't. They were more than best friends so it was going to mean a lot more for Kurt to meet them than for them to meet Kurt. "Hey you!" Blaine greeted as he approached the table Kurt was sitting at before sliding into the seat across from him. "Oh, you got my coffee!" he stated, "Thank you!"

Kurt: How come it's been a stressful week? :(
Kurt: I'll bring over a bunch of romantic comedies and musicals from the fifties, then!
Blaine: Well, I was thinking and stressing about texting you for the most part but there has also been work and I was asked to work a few shifts at Nino's cause I used to work there and they're down a few staff members. I just had a lot going on.
Blaine: Yeah, that sounds perfect. Maybe some that we've already seen, too?

Kurt: Tomorrow night sounds perfect! I can't wait!
Kurt: What kind of movies should I bring?
Blaine: Something that isn't action or thrilling. An easy watch, preferably. It's been a hard and stressful week.
