Tumblr staff returned my cry for help

They basically said, "oh well, nothing we can do, you're welcome to make a new account!"

Looks like I'll be losing access to my Tumblr soon.

I was prompted to reset my password, and when I tried to do it, I discovered that the eons-old Hotmail address I used to make the account has been deleted by Microsoft because I never use it. I'm still logged in on mobile...for now...but if it locks me out there's no way for me to get back in and I'll be lost forever.

Finally. Today in #lamegoals, I finally managed to make a diamond-in-square granny that looks the way I imagined it should look. For eons, I have been trying to find a pattern that pulls off this look and kept missing the mark. It looks so simple! And this wasn't actually complicated, but it just had to be done in a way I had never thought of before.

Every year on Mother's Day, my family goes for a hike together. All week long, the forecast called for rain today, but we gambled and planned the hike anyhow. The sun came out just as we were leaving the house. This year we went to a place none of us has ever been to, and it was so pretty! My mom saw a snake - her biggest fear - so that put a temporary damper on the day but then we found a pretty makeshift bench by a stream where we sat and took silly pictures in the sunshine and the day was saved.

I tried this shark hat on all three of my cats. Linus pulled it off instantly. Max ran away before I could fasten the velcro. But good old Jasper just sat there calmly with it, totally unfazed, until we took it off because we felt like jerks. We always pick on her because she is really smelly, she poops on the floor, and she drools and she is so needy and yells at us if we don't sit with her, but really, she's the good one.
