Lemon Juice, Red Ink Spell

Last night while scrolling my Tumblr feed, I stumbled upon asksecularwitch’s Peach Cobbler Spell from last year and it reminded my of a spell I did in my childhood, when I was too innocent to actually know I did a thing.

One day, my best friend came to my house to play and in the middle of the day, totally random she told me: Hey, do you want to know something cool? Someone told me that if you write your wish on a piece of paper with red ink and flood it in lemon juice, your wish is gonna come true. This lady told me that it was a white magic trick.

Little did she know I used that recipe all of my teenage years to get books. It’s a very simple spell, done mostly for kids or by kids, so bear with me. You can add things to it if you want, but for me, the original recipe did the trick.Here we go.

You’ll need:

A container to hold the juice

Lemon Juice

Red Ink (marker, pen, anything)

Piece of paper

Write your wish on the piece of paper with the red ink. Put it in your container, you jar or whatever it is you chose. Flood the paper in lemon juice. Now play the waiting game until your wish comes true. I remember when I was a teen, I never waited more than a few months, but that was because I wished for a physical object. I never wished for something else than books, so if you wish for love or money, I have no idea how it’ll turn out. If you want to try it, tell me how it worked, I’ll be delighted to record the outcome for myself and anybody interested.

Spell: You Mean Nothing to Me

You Mean Nothing to Me

Use: This spell is used to rid yourself of unwanted feelings towards a person. These could be any feelings; anger, hurt, lust, or sadness etc. This is especially useful if you still have to see/maintain a front with this person. It is not a curse or a binding spell, it only effects your feelings.

Timing: I’m a firm believer that you should spell work whenever it’s best for you, but a Waning Moon at Sunset would boost this. 

Supplies:

A black candle for banishing the unwanted feelings

A white candle for protection against further feelings

A black marker/sharpie

A picture of the person or a piece of paper to write their name on

Cauldron or a fire safe dish

Steps:

Set up, delicate space/cast a circle, and light the candles.

Write the person’s name on the paper (full name or whatever you call them. You can skip this if you’re using a picture.)

Cover their name or face with a sigil or words like ‘I feel nothing towards you,’ ‘you mean nothing to me,’ ‘I don’t hate/love/care for you’ etc or whatever feels right to you.

Now take the marker and start to cross out their name or picture. Scribble, ruin the marker if you gotta, put all those feelings into it. As you do this, say; “I feel nothing for you, you mean nothing to me, I don’t (add your own feelings and make it your own)..” Imagine yourself blacking out all those feelings as you cover their picture or name completely. 

Roll up the picture or paper. Light one end with the black candle and say, “I rid myself of feelings from the past and reduce them to ash.” Light the other end with the white candle and say, “Never again will these feelings return, You’ll mean nothing to me once this paper has burned. So mote it be!” ((If you can’t burn you can rip it up with your hands and dispose of it in the trash instead. Feel free to change up the words to whatever feels best to you.))

Place the burning paper in a safe pace or ball up the ripped pieces. Do some reflecting, meditation, and let all those feelings go once and for all.

Once you’re done and the fire is safely out, blow/pinch out the candles, close the circle, and give thanks to any spirits or deities you might have included. Throw away whatever is left of the picture or paper because that person is no different than trash to you now.

To reinforce: If you have to see this person, or if memories start to come back to you, just remember this spell and use it like a little shield you can mentally/emotionally place between you and the person that has brought you these unwanted feelings.

I just realized I haven’t told you guys about how 3rd President of the United States Thomas Jefferson haunts my dorm room.

Okay so basically at the beginning of the year, weird shit began happening in our dorm room, me and my roommate would hear/see things, TVs and phones and computers would start on there own and do other weird things. 

We decided jokingly that the room was haunted and named the ghost Jeff and even made it a door tag. 

Me and my roommate began to notice a trend it the activity of “Jeff” He always seemed to act up most when I talked shit about Thomas Jefferson or James Madison’s personality/policies/etc. 

We began to joke that it was Thomas Jefferson or James Madison (hell we even joked it might be Dolley)

Well the other day, our ghost confirmed himself as “Thomas Jefferson.” 

After a particularly rude attack on Thomas Jefferson character (I claimed the best thing he ever did was die.) A fucking giant ass jumbo size box of Mac and Cheese fell off of the tallest shelf in our dorm room. 

I’m talking one of these babies but it’s like a 20 pack. To me it’s obviously that this is obviously proof that “inventor” of mac and cheese, 3rd President of the United States who was born and died in Virginia travelled to Upstate New York in an area he never even came close to in his life to haunt my dorm 

My roommate is not convinced though: She still thinks it could be James Madison. 

But a Madison-sized ghost couldn’t have reached the mac and cheese (We conducted an experiment to see if Madison would have been able to reach it when he was only 5′4″ and being 5′4″, I couldn’t even reach it jumping up and down.)

So yes, me and my roommate have proved undeniable that Thomas Jefferson haunts our dorm room.

Also she pointed out that we randomly named the ghost “Jeff” which is pretty fucking close to Jefferson. Coincidence? OBVIOUSLY NOT.

Potion for Sleep

WHAT YOU NEED:

a mug

lavender ( to relax )

1-2 teaspoons

honey ( to sweeten your dreams )

a teaspoon or less

milk

a pot ( optional! )

INTENT: To “Rest Easy and Dream Gently.”

STEPS:

Put together your lavender, honey, and milk either in your glass or pot. Focus on your intent while doing so.

Heating:

If using a pot, let the ingredients reach a boil and then transfer to your mug.

If using just a mug, put in the microwave for 30 seconds to a minute.

Stir your potion clockwise and close your eyes, repeating the phrase “Rest easy and Dream gently” until you feel your potion has gathered enough of your energy.

This is at your discretion and may be different than how long other people do it!

Enjoy it before bed and feel free to save it for nights that sleep doesn’t come easy!
