Headcanons for Dally Being Jealous and Overprotective

A/N: I love writing for Dallas so much so I’m so excited you guys have requested so many things for him!

Pairing: Dally Winston x Reader

- Dallas Winston gets jealous very easily - If someone so much as looks at you the wrong way he responds one of three ways - The first way is with punches - The second way is with loud cursing and other obscenities - The third way is by possessively wrapping an arm around your waist and kissing you much longer than necessary - If Dally catches you flirting (even if you aren’t flirting intentionally) he’ll get revenge - He’ll often flirt with an ex-girlfriend of his or some random greaser girl - On rare occasions, Dallas might actually be hurt by your flirting - This could be because he’s been cheated on before and the idea of losing you is something that actually upsets him - When he feels hurt, he ignores you and sulks around the Curtis house - This leads to Darry calling you - And sounding annoyed because he wants you two to work out your relationship problems like adults - “Y/N, you need to come apologize to Dallas. He’s actually upset.” - When Dally isn’t getting jealous or making you jealous, he has the tendency to be overprotective - He doesn’t always show that he cares for you, but he does get worried - He won’t admit it, though - Instead, he says stuff gruffly and endearingly - “Doll, you should’ve brought a jacket. You’re gonna catch pneumonia or something.” - “You better have a blade on ya if you’re walking home this late alone. I don’t want you to show up dead.” - “He asked you to do what to him?! Tell me his name and describe him and we’ll see how tough he is when he’s got a heater to his head.” - So, while Dallas Winston gets jealous easily and isn’t gentle with you like some guys might be, he cares - He just won’t admit it

There should be an amber alert or something to warn us, hopefully. But if you’re so close to the blast that the entire outside flashes white your first priority is to get underneath the blastwave any way you can.

After that you have 2 options: drive away or protect yourself from the radiation.

Option one is tough because literally everybody else is going to want to do this, and you could get stuck right in the fallout. And lemme tell you, if you’re stuck out there when the ashes first fall for more than 15 minutes, you’re dead. Radiation poisoning.

Option two is harder, but has a better success rate. Get underground. Most houses have a crawlspace, but in this bad time just saw a fucking hole in your floor. Put table over hole. Pack some large containers (like tubs), with dirt, tight, and stack them on your table or wherever you’re going to be directly underneath. you need 36 inches if dirt to be protected from the radiation poisoning. You could preemptively buy lead and stick that in a container with a lot of serface area, i forget how many inches you need vertically.

How ever much serface area the dirt/metal/lead covers is how much you and your party will be able to move around. As long as there’s enough inches vertically you’ll be good so long as you stay under it.

You gotta stay under there for at least 2 weeks, 3 to be sure.

Also, if you can see the mushroom cloud, stick your arm out as far as you can. Do a thumbs-up and close one eye. If your thumb is bigger than the cloud, you are safe. If the cloud is bigger or the same size as your thumb, then that means you are in the radiation zone and should evacuate immediately.

trigger warning: rape, sexual assault so i was having a convo with my brothers today and we started talking about what my brothers were saying was sexist and promoted bad things which led to them getting mad..i told them that it wasn't ok for them to say those things. they said i was just being stupid and a dumb "feminazi" what they don't understand is just how bad women are treated in society. we are objectived, sexually assaulted, and sometimes murdered. i tried to explain to them how i feel, being a young girl, and being afraid of men on the streets and if they are going to kidnap/rape me or something like that. how it feels to have my 15-year old body sexualized and how it makes me feel uncomfortable and insecure. i shouldn't have to feel that way. what they also don't understand is, even if they are joking, their sexist words only promote the toxic view of women in our society which pushes people to objective and assault us. i just wish they would start respecting us.
