I’ve been meaning to say this for a while, but i never really got around to it. 

I’ve been in this fandom for just about a month and i consider myself a “newbie.” but is that a bad thing? I don’t really know anymore... All over Instagram, fan pages are complaining that all of the new accounts in the fandom are only there to get followers and for competition. I’m a new account. I’ve had this blog for just about a month and guys! I gained 450 followers in a month! how is that possible?!? a month ago i was just a girl with a dream of starting a tumblr and fangirling over 50 year old actors, but now i’m getting accused of only doing this for notes?! I put a lot of hard work on this blog and newsflash I hope you don’t think i’m doing this for notes.

I’ve met soo many amazing people, thanks to this account. this blog is what introduced me to all of my internet friends. I just wanted to tell you guys that, i’m not here for the notes, i’m not trying to cause any competition, i just want to share my love for The Outsiders. 

i’m sorry i didn’t start this page back when everyone was really nice and you were all like one big family, i’m sorry if i’m causing any competition, and i really don’t mean to cause any of this. 

But to all of those people complaining that the fandom isn’t as great as before, it hurts, it really does. And i’m sorry for all those people just like me, who started their tumblr in the hope of making friends and sharing their love of The Outsiders, and who are being brought down by the rest of the fandom, telling them that the fandom was better before they came along. i’m sorry, i really am, and i hope that this helps, because fandom means family, and no one gets left behind. mostly not for stupid reasons like this one

I'm playing Cherry in my school's production of The Outsiders, anything I should keep in mind for her character?

first off tHATS SO COOL OMG CONGRATS!!but basically cherry stands up for what she believes in, she's a cheerleader and a southside rich kid, she hates fights, she's a spy for the greasers, but she doesn't necessarily pick a side, all she really wants is for the fighting to stop. she doesn't say hi to ponyboy at school because she doesn't want to ruin her reputation. cherry is kinder than the other Socs and not as harsh. she sees both sides of the social levels, and is not filled with hatred or a sense of superiority; instead, she is sensitive, understanding, and caring, though she does care about her reputation
